Join me Monday June, 4 2012, 9:00 AM (PST) my guest will be securities attorney Brett Sherman. We will discuss the collapse of Bear Stearns, and learn what Brett Sherman is doing on the behalf of the former employees of what once was the 5th largest investment bank in the world. "In 2006, total compensation for five Bear Stearns senior executives, including CEO Jimmy Cayne, exceeded the payrolls of the NFL's New York Giants and MLB's Philadelphia Phillies. The payrolls of these two professional sports teams make for a particularly interesting comparison with the total compensation that was wasted on Bear Stearns’ five executive officers in 2006 (which blew away the money the Giants spent on their 50 plus players and the combined salaries of more than 25 Phillies)." "What's our point? Well, only two years later, in 2008, the Giants won the Super Bowl, the Phillies won the World Series and Bear Stearns was out of business." Brett Sherman
Sherman Brown grew up in Memphis Tennessee and has quite a story to tell. He has written a book A Bullet in Me, and says he had to learn the hard way. On tonight's episode of the Yanks Go Yard Radio Show, host and senior staff writer Ricky Keeler gives his take on the two trades the Yankees made yesterday involving Jose Pirela and John Ryan Murphy. Does this mean that Gary Sanchez becomes the backup catcher and is Brian Cashman done making deals after yesterday? Plus, should the Yankees trade Andrew Miller?
At 9:05 PM ET, James Terry from Baseball Essential joins the show to discuss the Hicks trade from the Twins perspective. Is John Ryan Murphy set to be the starting catcher in Minnesota? Plus, James gives his thoughts on the Twins winning the posting bid for Byung-Ho Park.

A really good friend turned me onto True Blue Jazz this year - and I'm eternally grateful! This absolutely fantastic Jazz series is in its third year - an alternative event source to the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival. Eddie Sherman - with a major career and sold-out shows in his own background - met with Peggy Raley, a respected vocalist who relished Jazz. Together, they decided that their popular beach community needed to focus on "Straight Ahead" Jazz. The Great American Standards from 1900 to the present. They were looking for interpretation and innovation. They were tired of only ONE kind of Jazz being represented with the RBJF. So, they put their heads together and came up with a beautiful solution :)
Once again this year, True Blue Jazz is giving you a delicious taste of The Real Deal - including Eddie and Peggy in performance. Also involved: The Fred Hughes Trio (Fred returns to "Hybrid Jazz" on 10/27!) - and that trio includes Amy Shook on bass. Amy is wrapping up her electric stint with Diva Jazz as part of the important foreground of "Tappin' Thru Life" with Maurice Hines! This trio is making a repeat performance in the True Blue Jazz series - and they SMOKE the Clear Space Theatre! Also set to star: young Geoff Galante (GRACIOUS, wait until you get a load of this one on trumpet!) The Jackie Browne Jazz Nonet has a terrific reputation - Eddie can't say enough about Jackie - so this night is gonna sizzle, too! And Diane Schuur is booked for a very special night - the birthday of yours truly on 10/16! Woo HOO!
There's another reason why this lovely endeavor needs our support: what they do for the children in Sussex County, Delaware. True Blue's "Youth Jazz Educational Initiative" is enough to make you cry - it's that generous! Join us on 10/12 and get ready to be excited!
Brett Favre Day at Lambeau on Thanksgiving! Bart Starr coming home along with Brett & Rodgers, it will be an Amazing day and we are going to chat some Turkey Football memories with the gang, Fred, Brandon, Eldridge, Big Cat, Scott T! Time to get this tailgate party started :) And anyone who wants to join in is always welcome, team NFL! (929) 477-3657 :)
