Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd fans rejoice! On July 7, 2014 AR Garden Records, via Cherry Red will release the debut album by the Garden Music Project, which features music inspired by the paintings by PINK FLOYD founder SYD BARRETT. 'Inspired By Syd Barrett's Artwork' is a unique masterpiece of 12 tracks that truly reflect the early artistic concept of Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett and his music legacy in modern times. The release will coincide with the eighth anniversary of Syd Barrett’s passing in 2006.
The music on this release can be best described as an epic interpretation of Syd Barrett’s paintings using Synesthesia perceptions. This music venture was created by Adriana Rubio. All the music was written by Adriana Rubio and Alexander Ditzend together with Alexander Ditzend (guitars & lead singing), Stefan Ditzend (bass guitar & saxophone), Nicolás Saganías (drums & percussion), and Fabrizio Gamba (keyboards & synthesizers).
There is lots to talk about this week. What amazes me is that Congress just came back from a 5 week summer vacation, spent 6 days in session, not achieving very much, so now they are off on a 6 week vacation. Appently they need 6 weeks to persuade their local voters to keep then in a job! Frankly I would not employ any of them to even cut my lawn. Best way to annoy a canditate that knocks on your door, ask them what they have done in the last two years.
Those that survive the Novermber will be armed to the teeth with pork projects offered to the local voters. November will be the season of pork, they will vote on anything as long as pork is included.
The NFL continues to get bad press over domestic violence claims, bu do the statistics bear out the publicity, you might be surprised.
Scotland does a Quebec! Actually the pair of them have a great deal in common.
Our weekly look at current events. Ray Rice not just sidelined, but tols to clean his locker out. Adrian Peterson accused of child abuse. What is happening in the NFL?
ISIS beheads another Westerner and breaks the knife in the process. Who is willing to put boots on the ground to stop these lunatics? The coalition to fight ISIS seems to be mostly talk and bluster.
Putin continues on his merry way in the Ukraine, and much like ISIS doesn't seem to care a whole lot what anyone thinks. Removing Russia from the global banking system SWIFT might have serious and disasterous results.
It has been a busy week for news. We have Vlad the Russian peacemaker suposedly brokering a deal with Ukraine. Many are doubting Putin's motives. Essentially he has won his land grab and a land bridge to the Crimea.
NATO had a nice vacation in Wales. Lots of huffing and puffing about ISIS and an ageement bu 9 countries to offer assistance. However nobody wants to see troops in the ground. France will air drop some cases of wine, germany some Salami, England, while not well known for its culinary delights will be sending Steak and Kidney Pies,
ISIS ramped up their notoriety by beheading a US journalist. The killer had a british accent. I can assure you that it wasn't me, I have not left Picayune for a long time.
Ferguson seems to have an unstable peace for the time being, but I have a hunch that is about to change, Michael Brown's funeral is Monday, a public event with 5000 people expected.
Israel v Hamas continues to smolder.
Rick Perry seems undeterred by a pesky law suit, he publishes new book, and goes to New Hampshire for what might be the opening of a 2016 bid.
Will Ryan run? He is not saying no.
Lots to talk about this week, The events in Furguson are disturbing. Many are equating it to the Trayvon Martin case. One wonders why the police officer involved is still a free man, I somehow doubt that had Darren Wilson been a regular 'joe' that would be the case.
Texas Governor Rick Pery indicted on two felony counts, political stunt?
Ukraine continues to burn, there are reports of more Russian manpower and equipment crossing the border.
Putin to reopen a spy station in Cuba.
US air strike in Iraq, where will this lead us?
This week has been a busy one for the news world. Most of it very depressing. Isreal and Hamas contintue to pound away at each other. Iraq is is disintergrating onto a blood bath, Obama has green lighted air strikes against ISIS, this makes him the fourth president to launch an offensive in Iraq. Is it time that we just butted out of the entire Middle East and got on with our lives?
Nothing good ever seems to come out our involvement in the region.
Joining me today on the broadcast today will be veteran news radio reporter TJ Hart, author Sam Moffie, and Psychologist Dr. Gary Penn.
Israel and Palestine continue to act like naughty two year olds, the problem is thay are two year olds with guns. The 72 hour cease fire lasted 90 minutes. Actually it is amazing that it lasted that long.Odd that Palestines usual buddies are not shouting from the roof tops, odd that Israels buddies are equally quiete in support but vocal in dissent. One might draw the conclusion that the world is just fed up with this pointless and mostly boring bickering and waste of life.
Ukrane and Russia continue to be at odds, is it possible to stop Putin in his quest of rebuilding the USSR.
Our well paid House and Senate take a 5 week vacation. It is hardly well earned. They seem to have acheived very little. And when they do resume in September all of them will be far too busy tending to re-election issues to give a thought to actually working.
Ukraine and MH17 continues on. The Dutch are a stoic people, I thought the ceremony to receive the first of the bodies was conducted with great restraint. No speeches,no commentary, just great respect for the victims.
The Israel/Palestine conflict also rumbles on. While it is a forgone conclusion about who will win but the jury is out on the cost in human lives?
FAA suspends flights to Israel for a day, was this a politically motivated action?
In sports... Baltimore ravens Ray Rice has been suspended for two games for rendering his GF unconscious during a spat. the NFL is sending a message, you can beat the crap out of your gf/wife, its not our biz, but do something unseemly on the field it will be 4 or 6 games that you will be bench warming.
In Politics... Nero fiddles while Rome burns. The GOP is grumpy that Obama is out fundraising while we have so much going on. The mexican border crisis, Ukraine, Israel, etc. Haha, this is a no win situation. If the GOP want to do something, do it. Because if Obama does it, there will be hell to pay. In other words, it is situation normal in Washington.Boy, I'll bet the House and Senate are looking forward to having August off to relax after a session doing jack all!
