    in Sports

Not getting sucked back in by Andre Holmes while apologizing for Stedman Bailey.

Is Tim Hightower the next old player to re-establish fantasy relevancy?

Alfred Blue does not belong in the NFL.

Amazingly, Ben Watson is out-producing Jimmy Graham.

Ronnie Hillman is the back to own in Denver.

Taylor Gabriel is more enticing than Duke Johnson with Johnny Manziel at the controls.

Jordan Matthews has been an unexpected bust, so it's time to give Nelson Agholor a shot.

Peyton Manning may or may not be on HGH.

    Kenneth Clark
    SFC, USA Retired

My name is Kenneth Clark and I grew up in South Florida in a city called Coconut Grove with my family of six. Life was difficult. The vast streets bore challenges to our curiosity, and as kids we took to the opportunity to the local parks for our adventures. As we got older we had to experience the life without a farther. This situation put us in a fast track life where we had to mature immediately.

I quckly understood the importance of preparation, hard work, and respect. I applied these values to my endevours by making an inventory of resources, planning my activities for efficiency, working on my goals every single day, and giving my body the necessary rest, it needed to operate. My upbringing has completely supported my development and I am thankful for it.
In December 1986 I enlisted in the United States Army and shipped to basic training on August 13, 1987. I never thought I would be a career soldier. I was an enlisted soldier for 20 plus years.
During my Career I was involved in the follow campaigns, Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom

My husband and his best friend had the idea to go kayaking. They said they'd be back and that I couldn't go because I couldn't hack it lol so I was like "screw you" and went out and bought a kayak. We arrived late on Saturday and were supposed to be out late Sunday. But I got super sick on Sunday and by Monday I couldn't hole anything down. Our friend left to find help. And we had two night out there. Tune in for the rest of the story!!!!

    John Gamble

I joined the Army in 97 after graduating college. I spent four years at Ft. Hood, deploying to Bosnia in 98. I ets'd in 2001 and joined the Indiana national guard. Six months later my unit activated stateside. After two years of that, my ex got orders to Ft. Wainwright so re-enlisted back to the active duty side. I had just re-enlisted to reclass when I ended up having surgery on my achillies and was med boarded out. I currently work in a powerplant.

Daniel Kraemer, is a 15 year US Air Force veteran. He has participated in multiple operations including Operation Noble Eagle, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as numerous humanitarian missions around the world. During his last deployment in October of 2013 Daniel was injured with a Traumatic Brain Injury which lead to his discharge due to medical injuries. With a TBI, PTSD, anxiety and other PTSD symptoms Daniel felt as if he had nothing once his military career was cut short. With only idle time on his hands Daniel started to drift and let his demons control his every move. It wasn't until almost a year later in late fall 2014 Daniel checked himself into a VA PTSD treatment facility for help. It was there, an old boxing trainer who worked as the facility's recreation director showed Daniel that he was still a warrior, and just because he wasn't at war there was still a battle that needed to be fought. It was through a renewed love of boxing that Daniel found his road to recovery and dealing with his day to day demons. With keeping with that warrior mentality and vigorous strength and conditioning along with intense fight training Daniel has come along way from his dark days of only a few years ago. His goal is to help as many of his fellow combat veterans as possible through fitness and mixed martial arts.

Exploring Jordan, Art of Dr. Seuss, Ken Burns

    in Travel

Although the country of Jordan is surrounded by "noisey neighbors" it is the safest country in the Middle East because of the Swiss-like neutrality it has maintained.  The spirit of hospitality that is ingrained in the Bedouin culture, which accounts for 40% of Jordan's population, transcends throughout the country.  Janine Jervis with Visit Jordan describes Jordan as an open-air museum because of its voluminous history and archaeological treasures but she tells us that Jordan is also cosmopolitan and diverse in its tourism offerings.

Theodor (Ted)  Seuss Geisel, best known as Dr. Seuss, wore many hats beyond a childrens book author and illustrator.  He was also a social commentator and his work tackled many issues like racial inequality and the environment.  Dr. Seuss also enjoyed creating "unorthodox" taxidermy and part of his "secret art" series poked fun at socialites. We will explore the colorful life of Ted Geisel with curator of The Art of Dr. Seuss, Bill Dreyer.

Filmmaker Ken Burns has shared a vareity of America's history through his popular documentary films, including:  Baseball (1994); The Central Park Five (2013); The Civil War (1990); and The Roosevelts (2014).  His style of filmmaking incorporates archival footage and photographs to help craft America's stories.  As part of our "Best Of" interviews, we have gone into our archives to share our 2009 interview with Ken Burns and his film The National Parks: America's Best Idea.
