Carson's Corner: The Election Boycott Advocates.

    in Politics Progressive

Fresh off a huge show about the fight against Capitalism, Carson's Corner is back with the Election Boycott Advocates. This week, we will discuss the potential Fast Track of the Trans Pacific Partnership, another corporate "free trade" agreement designed to erode our economic sovereignty and bring the working class further down into the abyss. Since the last round of devastating trade agreements, Americans have lost an estimated 60,000 factories- Mexico has lost at least 1 million jobs (although the number is undoubtedly higher). The TPP and TPIP will override what's left of our courts, regulatory agencies, and ultimately give more control to the transnational corporations and the capitalist class. Is there growing opposition to these deals, or are they signed, sealed, and nearly delivered Do Americans have any say in this matter? Is this part of what Fred Goldstein would call, Low Wage Capitalism, further increasing the wage competition between American workers and the rest of the world, so that the ruling class can increase their profits?

We'll also talk about other important issues that face the working class, and take your calls in the process.

Carson's Corner: The Election Boycott Advocates.

    in Politics Progressive

The Election Boycott Advocates are broadcasting live on Super Bowl Sunday. While over a hundred million Americans tune into the big game only to be bombarded with capitalist-driven messages designed to maintain compliance, the Election Boycott Advocates will focus on the important issues facing the working class. Last week in Greece, the anti-capitalist party Syriza won close to a total majority. The people of Greece are fed up with the austerity-driven policies applied by the capitalists and their accumulated debt, which has absolutely crippled the working class. What does this mean for Greece, the Euro, and other countries? Could this be the beginning of a hardline leftist movement that seeks to overthrow the parasitic banks and capitalists all around the world? Some have suggested in the American corporate media that the American version of Syriza has already been started by the likes of Senators Bernie Sanders, Sherrod Brown, and Elizabeth Warren. Is this the case? Tune in to the Election Boycott Advocates on Carson’s Corner for this live call-in discussion.

Carson's Corner with the Election Boycott Advocates.

    in Politics Progressive

Join the Election Boycott Advocates on Carson's Corner as they discuss the issues that few podcasts will cover, especially in the corporate media. Patrice Greenville, founder of the Greanville Post, recently wrote an article for the Greanville Post titled, "Hatchet Job on Putin only demonstrates the Conformist Spirit Permeating US Journalism." The article is critical of Frontline's treatment of Vladmir Putin. Why is it that the American media is so agaisnt Putin? Isn't the American media supposed to give you two sides to a conflict? The American media treatment of the conflict in the Ukraine is only the latest example of how the media respresents elite interests. In the lead up to every military conflict that involves the United States, the corporate media merely extends the will of the ruling class and acts as a cheerleader as the U.S. ruling class conquers another country. As we have seen in the Ukraine, the ruling class  will use neo nazi fascists to protect U.S. and international capital.

Also, it seems that capitalism has in store more "free trade" deals that will futher immobilize the American worker and  create a controllable pool of cheap labor. The American worker will continue to be forced to compete with sweatshop workers in  a race to the bottom as capitalism moves backwards to ensure its survival.

Make sure to check out Patrice's article http://www.greanvillepost.com/2015/01/24/et-tu-frontline/

Carson's Corner: The Election Boycott Advocates.

    in Politics Progressive

The Election Boycott Advocates welcome a very special guest to the show.  Alya Rea from the Greanville Post joins the show to discuss the relationship between the United States, Russia and Ukraine. We'll also ask Alya to give her thoughts on the recent developments in Greece.

The Following is Rea's bio from the Greanville Post:

Alevtina Rea is a researcher, analyst and writer and a strong supporter of social justice and human rights. For 7 years (2005 – 2012), she worked as an assistant editor with CounterPunch, a leading left political journal in the Anglophone world that exemplifies, along with The Greanville Post and a small cluster of sites, what an oppositional press should be like. She believes that “the role of the media is to educate, inform and shed light where there is none” in order to counter state-sponsored propaganda. Given the appalling criminality and atrocities committed by Western imperialism around the world, she believes that Russia—by opposing such power, and by her growing cooperation with Latin American and Asian countries— offers a new hope to humanity. Ms. Rea is also a contributing author to CounterPunch, Cyrano’s Journal Today, Uncommon Thought Journal,  and the International Journal of Baudrillard Studies. She can be reached at rea.alya@gmail.com.

It's 2015, and the march towards the emancipation of the American working class continues. The Election Boycott Advocates believe that the fight to emancipate American workers starts with boycotting the election system all together, as workers cannot work within  a system designed to perserve the status quo. 2015 will only further illustrate that the American working class has no stake in any election whatsover, as the billionaires have chosen their candidates (all of whom have been around political/capitalist institutes for life) to represent their interests and serve their needs. As the oppression of capitalism  continues to get worse, American workers will have no choice but to hit the street and bring democracy to an otherwise undemocratic system.

Join the Election Boycott Advocates on Carson's Corner as they try to elevate the consciousness by spreading non compliance. We will discuss the very issues that the corporate media does not want you to hear. For example, is there an alternative to capitalism, such as a radical form of social democracy, that can produce a more equal society? From a boycotters' perspective, what will 2015 mean?

On the last Carson's Corner on 2014, the Election Boycott Advocates welcome Jill Dalton to the show to discuss the biggest political events of 2014. Dalton, who is the author of the eBook, "Is It Fascism Yet ?", has been writing for non-corporate media outlets, such as Dandelion Salad, OpEdNews, RSN, NationofChange, for many years. Jill has been one of the few reporters who have questioned whether or not voting really matters in America.

Will 2015 be a year marked by the billionaire ruling class or will the workers continue to rise up in the face of the deteriorating conditions of capitalism?  Will elections and the state continue to lose legitimacy in the eyes of the working class? Tune in to hear a discussion you will hear few places elsewhere.

Here is Jill Dalton’s bio: Jill Dalton is a writer/actress/army brat/activist/truth teller. She can be seen in and consulted for William Hurt on the HBO film, Too Big To Fail, about the global financial meltdown. Her articles have appeared @ Dandelion Salad, OpEdNews, RSN, NationofChange. Her eBook, Is It Fascism Yet? is available on amazon.com. Her play, Collateral Damage, was a semi finalist at the 2014 O’Neill Playwrights Conference.

Carson's Corner: The Election Boycott Advocates.

    in Politics Progressive

Almost another year in the books, and the oppression of the American worker continues to get worse. From phony billionaire-owned elections, a us-backed fascist coup in Ukraine, to an out-of-control militarized police force that seeks to perserve the privilege of the ruling class, the workers in America have been forced to engage in non-compliance. Non-compliance already exists in our society in the form of the non-voter. However, we are starting to see the beginnings of a mass response from the oppressed.

Join the Election Boycott Advocates as they recap some of the year's events, as well what we in the working class have to look forward in 2015.
