    Blue Justice with Ken Dye

    in Current Events

Founded out of a necessity to protect and insulate our heroes who stand that "Thin Blue Line" between civility and chaos.
For far too long the silent majority stood by and watched as the vocal minority fed their hate into the war on police in America. Now with the birth of yet another hate group (BLM movement) that singles out the 1% of our population that defends the other 99%, LESMA was born.

Our mission is to defend, insulate, represent and support these brave men and woman while they faithfully discharge their duties and sworn oaths. While the majority of the civilized world stands behind them we at LESMA promise to stand in front of them as guardians to our guardians. We promise to take on the battles that often times they themselves are not able to do themselves. To hold the media accountable for their often slanted reporting in order to increase ratings and increase advertising revenue. Holding Politicians accountable for their quick knee jerk reactions and statements that often times place the officers in the crosshairs of ne'er-do-wells. Corporations whose policies and procedures leave officers unfairly protected. To push for legislature that offers enhanced protections to our officers and first responders.

    Big Blue Views - SB50 - Good & Bad;FLA report; UL Sanctions;Kelli McDowell-ASOB

    in Sports

Kristin and Michele have a full slate of topics tonight, including Super Bowl 50 - what was good, what was bad and of course, commercials we loved.

Tonight we welcome A Sea Of Blue's Kelli McDowell (@kellibeth).  Kelli has covered most of UK Hoops' games this season, so we will get her thoughts & Insights on the season thus far & how she views Coach Mitchell's chances of finally getting over the hump & getting the Cats to a Final Four.

UL self-imposed a post-season ban.  Was this fair to the players?  If not, how would you suggest the school handle the situation?  We want to hear YOUR views.

Friday was the unveiling of the new UK logo & "secondary" logo.  As expected, this was received by fans with very mixed results.  Love it, hate it or just don't care?  Let us know how you feel!

After a stinging loss (giving up a 21 point lead for crying out loud!), the Cats bounced back in a big way on Saturday when they stomped the Gators.  Kristin and Michele were there covering the game for CMR and will give you their eyewitness account of the events.

As always, we will have talk about UK Hoops and lots more college basketball happenings.  Call in and have your views heard: 646-716-4741

Big Blue Views - Justin Hodges from ISN & ASOB; KU Game Review; UT/UF Previews

    in Sports

Kristin and Michele welcome @justin_hodges22 (from ISN and writer for A Sea Of Blue) for some great basketball discussion.

This past week, we saw our Cats continue to grow & improve as they flattened Missouri and took Kansas to OT.  We'll discuss both games as well as look forward to this week's matchups vs Tennessee and Florida.

Even though it's basketball season, UK Football is continuing to rack up more Yahtzees.  NSD is Wednesday, so we have a lot to look forward to if the entire class that has verbally commited follows through.

Plus - fans calling out players on social media?  You know where we stand on that issue, but we want to hear YOUR views.  Tweet @bigblueviews or call in 646-716-4741

Shades of Blue Soccer Show - 2/1/16 Losing Nemo and EPB goes to Europe

    in Soccer

Thad Bell from TheBlueTestament is joined by Mike Kuhn of Downthebyline fame and Steve Brisendine, Sporting KC's beat writer for mlssoccer.com to discuss the latest moves by Sporting Kansas City.

A lot of fans are not happy with some rcent moves.

First up, Krisztián Németh and SKC seemed to have parted less than amicably. Was it money for Nemeth? Was it oil dollars for SKC? Time to train for the Euros? Not enough chicken paprikash?

The other big move sees homegrown defender Erik Palmer-Brown sent on loan to Porto FC in Portugal. Money, experince? Roster room?

Squeezed in between all the controversial player moves the first preseason scrimmage took place.

    Borrowed Blue Live!

    in Military

Join us this week as we welcome the country rock band, Borrowed Blue. Hailing from Jamestown, KY., Borrowed Blue encompasses the homegrown distinction of the “boy next door” and the  heart of “Blue Mist” pride-emphasizing their belief in God and union. The quartet’s  roots keep them patriotic to Kentucky past-times and tradition. Another
trait of the Bluegrass state, trademarked by the boys of Borrowed Blue, is their passion for basketball and acquired taste for bourbon. Band members Matt, Brandon, Jay and Jordan are all members of the same congregation as faithful UK fans who have developed a distinctive thirst for an age-old sporting event and indulgence. Whether watching waves cresting the shore on a Friday evening or making an impression before a roaring crowd in  a juke joint, Borrowed Blue takes the listener on a whimsical musical escape guaranteed to become a ‘moment’ to  recall yesterday, today and all of your tomorrows. We will talk with them about their upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at their music, feature their latest songs including their new hit single "Porch People" and ask them to share their message for the troops. Please be sure to visit Borrowed Blue at http://www.borrowedbluemusic.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and chat live with Borrowed Blue during the show. If you would like to participate in the live chat during the show, you must sign up on the show site first and then log in during the show. More great music for a really great cause! And as always we will give shout outs to our deployed military listeners. Be sure to join us, Sunday December 9th 2012 at 4:00 PM EST! Our message to the troops....WE do what we do, because YOU do what you do.
