Meningococcal disease can cause bacterial meningitis and sepsis, both serious and life-threatening conditions. Despite treatment, 10-15% of those infected die from this devastating disease; and without treatment, the mortality rate is 70-90%. Every 10 minutes, one person dies worldwide from meningococcal disease.

Jamie recently participated in a global awareness campaign with world-renowned photographer Anne Geddes called Protecting Our Tomorrows: Portraits of Meningococcal Disease.
