Bionic Woman fans, don't miss this show. Betsy Dodd, creator of the coolest bionic blog, www.bionicblonde.com discusses the iconic TV show. Here's Betsy's own words from her blog:
"Growing up in a one-TV household, I had 3 brothers who surrounded me in age—who often teased me for being a “sissy”—and who usually controlled the voting majority for which channel to watch. Back in the 70s, our whirling TV dial was pretty much destroyed because we fought over it so often. One night while the substitute pliers were pointed to their choice of The Six Million Dollar Man(again), suddenly there was OMG ...cue angelic chorus... Jaime Sommers, the world’s first Bionic Woman. Yes!!! Score one for us sissies! I was totally hooked. And the love story between Jaime and Steve was the best. Ever. But then they killed her the following week.
Why did I idolize Jaime Sommers so much? Just as the final season was being released on DVD in the fall of 2011, I stumbled onto some internet bionic fan forums and started posting these offbeat episode reviews.
These days, I am a freelance copywriter, graphic designer and video editor living in Tennessee. No, I am not a blonde, but I am threatening to become one soon if these little gray hairs don’t stop surfacing. I must confess I also did not actually keep a diary in the 70s, but wish now that I had, so I could remember the real reason why I missed so many episodes of my favorite 70s show. For now, I’m blaming my brothers. For everything."
It's time to catch up on our fave glam girls of the small screen!

Skin Color, whether we want to believe it or not, is still the elephant in the living room in the hearts of Black people the world over.
While many Black people will readily cry out at the first sign of what they may feel is an encounter with racism, some of those same individuals will execute the same twisted mentality when dealing with people who are of their own race.
Other races of people will look on from the outside of this type of hypocrisy and remain befuddled as it just doesn't seem to add up properly.
How can one complain about being prejudged because of the color of their skin yet turn around and do the same damn thing to some of their own?
Most would agree that this behavior has been internalized after being made to believe that we are truly inferior after hundreds of years of mental indoctrination while in slavery.
This is the case all the way up to the present time with the media brainwashing that continues to perpetuate these foolish myths.
Too many Black people are buying into this hook, line and sinker!
"SOME" Blacks who are of a lighter skin complexion can oftentimes feel superior to those who are darker. Many (BUT NOT ALL!) darker complected Blacks feel as sense of inferiority when compared to the lighter skinned Blacks when it comes to the expected treatment that they feel they will get when going up for a job or being considered by a potential romantic partner.
Let me officially say that THIS IS NOT ALL!
But many of us who are truly conscious and know better can sometimes slip into this twisted way of thinking in our everyday lives.
While many will defend those hateful practices of plastic surgery to alter their features or bleaching cream to lighten their skin, the fact of the matter is that self hate is a huge business and those who seek to profit from it is are all wolves in sheeps clothing.

We talked about the movie and his character, Spencer. (Nick Roux was on Jane by Design, Pretty Little Liars, Jennifer Falls, Lemonade Mouth, & more!)
Chloe Bridges is known for her roles as Zoey in the sitcom Freddie and as Dana Turner in the 2010 television film Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. If you're anything like me then you think that you know a Black person when you see one and you know a white person when you see one right? But do you? Are you sure? Are you always sure? The truth is that Black people come in so many different shades of dark and light that it's not always as easy as trusting your eyesight. You can be easily identifiably Black by being dark with kinky hair and other features but you can also be blonde haired with blue eyes with straight hair like Laurin Crosson has.
Do you think that because you have the features of a white person that you will automatically enjoy white privilege? Watch what Lairin has to say about that.
Do you think that because you can pass for being white that that would automatically be what a person would choose to be? See what Laurin has to say about that.
Do white people always accept a person who is visibly white as their own? Ask Laurin.
Would the Black community embrace a person that looks white as one of their own or would they scrutinize and write a person like that as a fraud? See what Laurin's experiences have been.
This show will be a lesson about acceptance and identification. About learning that what you see isn't always what you get. About learning how and where to fit in and be comfortable despite being different.
This is about learning how to make it against the color complexion odds from a different perspective than we are used to hearing it from.
Most of all this show will be about what being Black or white means vs how it plays out in real life.
This show is sure to please.
Born in Chattanooga, TN, and raised by her grandmother, Brandy Li's love for music grew as she used it to escape the harsh realities inflicted by the trauma from her father and his life as an inmate on death row at a maximum security institution for murder (1 of his victims being her mother). Her passion for lyrics blossomed as she'd seek clever rhymes to say on the mic for her uncle who happened to be a successful and local DJ. She was later signed to an indie label where she wrote and recorded with several platinum artists including, Big V of the Nappy Roots and Sutta Kane of Pinney woods who has done songs with The Game, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West. She wrote her current single, Pumpin Gas, while in the studio vibing with a producer in Atlanta, Kevin Freeman, aka. Big Block. They released the song on You Tube to receive a lot of likes and downloads. The song is currently featured on Coast to Coast's mixtape, #NextUp vol. 28. She and Block have since teamed up to do a mix tape and an album together. They hope to release in 2014 before launching her tour
