Managing Madrid Podcast: Should We Be Worried About Real Madrid's Form?

    in Soccer

Gabe Lezra, Bozz and Mike Platania are back to chat everything Real Madrid! On this week's episode, the guys chat about Madrid's uninspiring draw with Málaga at the Bernabéu. Is this draw indicative of something larger--a pattern of focusing too much on Cristiano Ronaldo's scoring in detriment to the team? Or maybe a general lack of offensive creativity?--or is it merely bad luck, a blip in an otherwise strong beginning of the season?

Additionally, the guys break down Rafa's tactical choices agaisnt Malaga, and discuss what the Spanish coach should tell the players after that match. They geek out about Luka Modric and his countryman Mateo Kovacic, and conclude with some previews--first Malmo (just kidding, they don't actually have much to say about that) and then Atleti.

Talking In Circles: Coke 600 Review, Richard Petty's Comments, Ty Dillon

    in Sports

On this episode of Talking In Circles we review last weekend's Coca-Cola 600 and has Toyota caught the other teams on the intermeidate tracks? What does that win do for Carl Edwards.

Plus, NASCAR legend Richard Petty gave his take on what he would like to see for changes in the NASCAR rule book and believe it or not, it made a ton of sense.

Also Ty Dillon is spending another year in the XFINITY Series in 2016. The original plan was to move Dillon to the Sprint Cup Series after 2 years of XFINITY Series racing but that is no longer the case. Is this a good move for RCR and Dillon? Or is this just a result of a team not being able to find sponsorship?

The Ratings for the Coca-Cola 600 failed to eclispe the Indy 500 for the first time in 10 years. Sign of things to come or just a blip on the radar?

Plus we preview the FedEx 400 Benefitting Autism Speaks from Dover International Speedway. We will win? Who will run good and who will struggle and who needs a good run?

Plus we take your phone calls. 917-889-8280

Gay Marriage means 'equal rights' as global society descends into chaos

    in News

It's a blip on the radar in the grand scheme of things, but much fanfare greeted the recent "yes" vote in the Irish referendum on gay marriage. It was proclaimed an "historic watershed" and "marked a milestone in Ireland’s journey towards a more liberal, secular society". The vote was "almost like a social revolution that makes us a beacon of equality and liberty for the rest of the world" according to Irish health minister Leo Varadkar, who is gay. British tycoon Richard Branson was delighted to "see the people of Ireland voting to live in a country where everybody is treated equally."

Meanwhile, violent, sexual abusers of children are still protected by the Irish state. Irish schoolchildren are still taught lies about their own history, Irish politicians and bankers get away with massive theft of state resources that have impoverished thousands, while Irish police are ordered to beat Irish citizens who protest the privatization of Irish water on the orders of international financiers.

We'll also be discussing latest events around the world, mostly involving death, suffering and chaos.

Join us this Sunday May 24th 2015 2-4pm EST 8-10pm CET.

Talking In Circles: Duck Commander 500, New All-Star Rules, Crew Chiefs trouble

    in Sports

On this episode of Talking In Circles we break down the Duck Commander 500 from Texas Motor Speedway and take a look at who's hot and who's not. Also we talk about the sudden and surprising drop in tv ratings from Saturday night's race. We discuss why and if that'll be a trend in NASCAR or just a blip on the radar.

Also as we are 7 weeks in the season there are a few drivers who are in the top 20 who are surprising. Aric Almirola, David Ragan, Paul Menard, Danica Patrick, Casey Mears and AJ Allmendinger are all in the top 20. We give you our opinions on who will stay, and who will fall.

Also with some surprises come some disappointments and usually in the middle of the season the crew chief is replaced, not the driver. With that being said we give you guys a few names of crew chiefs who could be in some trouble in the coming weeks.

Also we discuss the changes to NASCAR's All-Star race. Instead of the top two finishers in the event they will go with the two segment winners from each event to transfer from the Sprint Showdown to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. Also they've added pass event winners who currently runs the full season in the Cup Series. Right now the event is at 20 drivers. But how have these changes helped/hurt the event and what other changes would we like to see in the All-Star race, that's discussed.

John Harlow from BeyondTheFlag.com joins the show as well to give us his thoughts on this week's topics and we take your phone calls!

    Michael Brown

    in Music

The U.N., however, blasted back at the couple after only mere hours of deliberation. In a statement released early this morning Senior chairmen of the UN’s Committee Against Torture dismissed the couple’s plea entirely.

“The sense of entitlement these people displayed is reprehensible” said chair member, Dr. Amancio Dominguez in an interview with National Report. “We deal with legitimate and widespread instances of human rights violations, and frankly the issues presented to us here are not even a blip on our radar. It is in our opinion after reviewing all the evidence that the officer in question committed absolutely no wrong doing.”

He continued, “While I feel for loss endured by these two individuals, I believe they are blinded by grief, and this is simply not the forum which to project those feelings. My colleagues and I went over the surveillance footage, as well as other evidence documented in the case, and we believe that Michael Brown is indeed guilty of the acts of which he is being charged.”

Another member of the UN committee told CNN this morning, “We have much more important things to do than involve ourselves in county level legal proceedings. This was an absolute waste of our time. Compared to human rights violations that are prevalent in such 3rd world countries as North Korea and Brazil, America’s plight simply does not compare. While instances of police brutality certainly do exist, we have found that this was no such a case, and we will not be intervening in the matter.”

Welcome Donna Visocky Part 1 - Replay

    in Women

In August of 2003, Donna Visocky was attending a Compassionate Friends meeting when a woman came up to her after the meeting and said “Your daughter was standing behind you all night long and she is a beautiful girl.” And so began a journey that really started with the death of Donna’s 21 year-old daughter Kristi in a car accident just two months earlier.

It took a month for Donna to get up the nerve to make an appointment with the “Angel Reader” but go she did, driven by an agonizing desire to reconnect with her daughter. Not only did Debra Becker, this very special Angel Reader, help her connect with Kristi, but she also introduced Donna to the angels and an entire new dimension of spirituality.

Donna recalls, “Kristi was an incredibly beautiful soul, filled with compassion and concern for those less fortunate. From the time she was a small child she stood up for the underdog and often riled against the injustices in this world. Oh, how that child loved to argue. It was Kristi who brought me here, to this place in my life; who opened the windows of my mind to the wonders and blessings of the universe and the realization that this is just a small blip in the journey of our souls.”

The Science of Quantum Jumps -Discover how your thoughts change the World

    in Spirituality

Join us LIVE we broadcast Wednesday at 11:11 am PT/1:11 pm CT/2:11 pm ET

Call in to our Studio to  speak with the host & guest 1(646) 478-4001

Discover how your thoughts and feelings change the physical world!

Cynthia Sue Larson explains how the science of quantum jumps indicates that in much the same way that quantum particles can blip into and out of material form, we too can literally jump from one parallel universe to another. There is a growing consensus among physicists that you and everything and everyone around you exists in a superposition of states, in which each of us exists simultaneously in many possible realities. The key to making quantum jumps from one reality to another comes from gaining a sense of detachment through lucid dreaming or meditation, by which we view ourselves as existing as pure consciousness. From this vantage point, we become aware of multitudes of possibilities. In one reality, we might adopt healthier daily diet and exercise habits. In another reality, we fearlessly explore our genuine interests. Making time to enjoy a blissful state of relaxed, energized mindfulness without envisioning anything in particular can bring powerful, positive effects.

This converation is bound to be out of this world so make sure you turn on, tune in and tap into a great hour and tell your friends now to join us!

His guest again this week is steampunk author WENDY L. CALLAHAN (wendylcallahan.com) who is also a movie geek.  They will each throw down with their TOP 10 films that eventually gained notoriety thanks to home video and the internet, but back in the day were merely a blip on the box office radar. Films include THE ADVENTURES OF BUCKAROO BANZAI, CLUE, STUDENT BODIES, ANGEL, USED CARS, KRULL, XANADU, HOWARD THE DUCK, LABYRINTH and many more
