    A Command To Wait

    in Religion

Please join me Tuesday March 24th at 11am CST  as we talk about how Jesus commanded His followers to wait for what The Father  had promised. He made a distinction between  the different baptisms. ( Look at Acts 19)

Obviously He knew we needed to be endued with His power to be witnesses. The Scripture is very clear , that this is a supernatural harvest, done supernaturally, by the power of The Spirit. Clearly laid out in scripture. He knew we would have supernatural enemies. He gave us supernatural weapons. ( Ephesians 6)  For the Commission He gave , for it to be successful, it has to be done His way.

Traditions and opinions won't accomplish the mission. His instructions , by His power through us will.

Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, "Which," He said, "you heard of from Me; (Acts 1:4)

for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." (Acts 1:5)

but you will receive power whenthe Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."(Acts 1:8)

Your Blessed! ... Trust in the Lord

    in Dreams

You are Blessed! So since that is who you are put all of your trust in the Lord. We live in a time where there are many things trying to earn your trust and tell you, you can trust it. But I'm here to tell you that it is better to put your trust in the Lord than anything else in this world. It is important to keep your eyes on Him and not on your job, money, relationship, house,  or friends, all of these things can end in a moment. God will never end his love for you. He promises to take care of you and never leave you.

The last twelve (12) months have been weighty and tried my patience. My first trial had to do with my health! My stomache, throat and digestive system became under attack in so much that it was necessary for me to withdraw from producing "live podcast" on Wednesday and Friday mornings. In addition, a dear family member became critically ill so I was needed to travel to her home. Yet I praise God for the trouble that found me as I sought to do a work for God because of my love for Him.My health has improved Greatly. My family member is praising God for extending her life! Magnify the Lord with me and let us exhalt His name together Psalm 34:3!

John Carver Show - Why the Wait???

    in Religion

Maybe life’s “delays” are meant for us to exhaust every human means possible?!?!

    Eric Speir writes:
In studying the lives of these great people, I've discovered 4 reasons God makes us wait:
    1. Waiting Reveals Our True Motives
Waiting has a way of bringing out the best and worst in people. People who don't have good motives won't wait long because they're not interested in the commitment it takes to see something through. They're too interested in short-term gains or success.
Most of us have good intentions, but a lot of what we want to accomplish is an attempt to make a name for ourselves or for our own egos. It hurts to say this, but it's often true.
    2. Waiting Builds Patience In Our Lives
Patience in waiting for small things leads to having patience in the bigger things. If we can't wait for God to do a small thing, we certainly can't wait for something bigger.

    3. Waiting Builds Anticipation
Why do children get so excited around Christmas? Because the wait has produced anticipation. We tend to appreciate things the longer we have to wait for them.
    4. Waiting Transforms Our Character
Waiting has a way of rubbing off the rough edges of our lives. Most of us know the story of Moses delivering the Israelites from the Egyptians. It's a grand story of God doing great miracles.

We married in 1988 and began our family in 1998.  Those ten years were very long and painful.  There was a purpose in the waiting.  We just didn’t see it or want to see it at the time.

One of the biggest difficulties, for some, is to keep moving forward while you wait…to constantly be learning in the waiting room.

Do you take opportunities to learn something while you wait?

    Blessed Are Those Who Mourn

    in Christianity

Most of us at some point in our lives know what its like to weep and mourn. Matt 5:4 is indeed a reasuring verse that's packed with truth. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." That tells me that God cares when we are hurting, afflicted and going through great pain or loss. Do you at times however, find yourself running away from the hurt, not wanting to experience it because its just simply too much to bear. There are many of you that find yourself in a place of despair and depression and have lost your joy. Its too difficult to go through Thanksgiving and Christimas because it just reminds you of the loss of your loved one. You do not have to go through this alone. And His love and grace touches us right where we are in our suffering and pain, and hears our cry. For He is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.

God's purpose for your life is that you would become like His Son, Jesus Christ! Stop emulating others and trying to do what someone else is doing and surrender to God's plan for your life. His plan is is uniquely designed for you and much bigger than anything you could ever imagine and it can only be accomplished by total abandonment and trust in Him. No one has seen what God has prepared for those who love Him! Do you love Him enough to trust Him with your whole life? If yes, then do it! And let the real journey began! #‎BlessedAndBodacious---Dr. Paulette Stevens.
