The Word was first,
the Word present to God,
God present to the Word.
The Word was God,
in readiness for God from day one.
3-5 Everything was created through him;
nothing—not one thing!—
came into being without him.
What came into existence was Life,
and the Life was Light to live by.
The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness;
the darkness couldn’t put it out.
6-8 There once was a man, his name John, sent by God to point out the way to the Life-Light. He came to show everyone where to look, who to believe in. John was not himself the Light; he was there to show the way to the Light.
9-The Life-Light was the real thing:
Every person entering Life
he brings into Light.
He was in the world,
the world was there through him,
and yet the world didn’t even notice.

More About Laura Poindexter
Laura Poindexter a native New Yorker (Harlem) worked for (18) yrs. as an Altruistic Community Leader & Social Services Professional within the City of Baltimore. This was an ideal profession based on the fact that she was recovering from pretty much everything. The most extensive recovery period is 29 yrs. and counting.
Her commitment for this field of service could not be denied, as she passionately blazed a trail, making an indelible mark in the field of Human Services Now 48 yrs. old a recently anomaly of events had caused her to once again become dismayed with her existence. Addiction no longer an option she chose to write for her life. Her writings are admittedly inspired by pain, frustration and utter confusion concerning the God of “her” understanding and how he had elected to perfectly orchestrate the various sonatas in her life; but alas, failed to tie them together in symphonic harmony...
Also, a Blog Talk Radio Producer & host for "The Literary Corner", Laura brings passionate enthusiasm to this platform, paying it forward by giving aspiring artist, new as well as established business & NPO's the opportunity to shine.
The Underdog: the one who was misinterpreted, misunderstood or mistaken.
This Anthology is a collection of real life stories from those who share their unwillingness to become trapped in what society said they “should of” been or “could have been.” They refuse to remain at the bottom. They refuse to take average as the norm.
They beat the odds, they overcame and they blazed their own path where there was not one.
Join us on October 14th, 2014 as we share, highlight and uplift the Underdog who lives among us . . . because sometimes our obstacles are organized for our opportunity.
Welcome to Business Black Belt Radio!
Each week I interview an investor, an expert in business development, financing, marketing or management, or an entrepreneur who offers some keen insights into building your business...
Over the last 25 years Eric Delisle has developed a broad range of experience from being a pet shop owner, working in radio, putting the first Virtual Reality Systems in Disney World, doing channel distribution working at MTV, being a consultant to the National Science Foundation on SBIR funding proposals, and manufacturing those products in China... even a stint promoting MMA events!
Whether he is architecting a business model, raising millions from investors, creating a brand, negotiating contracts, building a team, or creating a marketing campaign and developing a sales pitch for an unknown product, Eric, has successfully blazed most trails entrepreneurs need to learn. In addition to his successes, he is usually quick to point out to budding entrepreneurs that he has failed more times than most people will ever try! The secret, he says, is to learn, pivot, and never give up. Today, his way of "giving back" is mentoring other entrepreneurs to help them achieve their own dreams.
Currently, Eric, invests in startups and runs DigiThinkIT, a custom software, web development, and consulting company in Orlando, FL. He has just completed a very successful campaign thet generated over $1000,000 on KickStarter!

Tom Hartmann, author of the book Broken Mind, Persistent Hope, used alternative medicine to recover from his TBI, including homeopathy and the new healing method Acupuncture for the Mind (A4M). Some other less successful healing experiments included shamanism and Tibetan medicine. Denied conventional rehabilitation due to pre-existing psychiatric difficulties, Tom and his father blazed a trail through alternative medicine which other TBI patients can now successfully follow. Have you ever read poetry that highlights the history, culture and accomplishments of African-Americans in such a way that it gives you an appreciation for those who've blazed the trail for you and I to follow?
In this day and age where the black family is plagued with abortion, homosexuality and single-parent households, it's refreshing to read a book in poetic fashion that helps us remember where we came from as a people and encourages us to keep the traditional values that made us great.
If you're not familiar with Christian author, Angela Dawn, you're in for a real treat! She'll discuss her new book "Chocolate Camelot" which not only is a must read for African-Americans, but for all Americans!
