We knew from polling data that a majority of Americans, 54 percent, favored legalizing the use of marijuana. Now that we’ve begun publishing an editorial series arguing for an end to marijuana prohibition, we know that a majority of Times readers appear to favor legalization, too, and in far greater numbers than the population at large.
We asked readers on the main editorial if they were for legalization, against it or unsure. Forty-one said they were unsure, 206 against and 4043 for. (That’s as of 12:30 p.m. on Monday.) Obviously the comments section doesn’t amount to a scientific poll, but the lopsided reaction indicates that, among Times readers, there’s a virtual consensus: The federal ban on marijuana makes no sense.
Initiatives don’t always work out for the best as patients in Lake Co. California have discovered. Daniel McLean of the Emerald Unity Coalition will discuss the upshot of an initiative introduced by Lake Co. government that was passed by the voters and bans all outdoor cultivation in residential neighborhoods. An alternative initiative sponsored by patients will be on the November ballot that will change things substantially.
Cannabis has had a long history of religious use and our 2nd guest is Michael Myers, director of an organization dedicated to preserving this ancient religious use. The religious use of marijuana, ancient or not, has had a very problematic history, but Michael will elucidate the four steps which he has put into practice and he believes provides first amendment protection.

Marijuana is finally legalised for use in Washington State. So you're from Vancouver B.C. and you think you can drive down to Smoke Marijuana in Seattle. U.S. Customs & Border Protection pulls you aside after you tell them you are coming down for Marijuana. They ask you if you smoke marijuana and you say yes. Well you have now just opened a barrel of rattle snakes. Plus you now have got one step closer to needing a us entry waiver. We will discuss this very sensitive issue. Admitting to CBP ABOUT ANYTHING DRUG RELATED is essentially you giving them the rope to hang yourself, standing on the gallows, paying them to tie youyr hands behind your back and then yelling at them to pull the lever. We will discuss their reasoning behind it, their interrogation techniques and what you can expect to happen to you. YOU MAY END UP NEEDING A US ENTRY WAIVER.

Forget the “Easy” Button that Staples has made famous. Most of us need a “Pause” button we can hit to remind us to live a happier life. We can all use the Pause to improve our responses to our exes and bosses. My work with my clients is to teach life skills. One of those skills is the Intentional Pause.

Your intrepid pothead host and incurable reprobate is proud to announce that the state of Oregon will be the 3rd state in the Union to legalize marijuana for recreational use; thusly reducing the crime rate in urban areas, reduce drug-related incarceration rates, increase tax revenues and listening to the will of the people. Wasn't that the whole idea behind what the Founding Fathers were attempting to bring to the nation...and then it got hijacked by the idiots currently residing in DC. For God sakes, the American people hate the residents of Congress more than they hate Jar-Jar Binks, the much despised and reviled character in any Star Wars movie made or maybe even, yet to be made. I concur.
Dementia is a term that is used to describe a collection of symptoms including memory loss, problems with reasoning and communication skills, and a reduction in a persons abilities and skills in carrying out activities of daily living. There are a number of different types of dementia the most common being Alzheimers Disease, Vascular Dementia, Frontol Temporal Dementia and Dementia with Lewy bodies. A diagnosis of mixed dementia is when the presentation shows the person to have elements of more than one type of dementia. Dementia is a progressive condition. The symptoms become gradually worse, the rate of which varies from person to person and each person will experience dementia in a different way. The purpose of working with people who have dementia, is to improve the functions that the disability affects to the highest possible level. Once achieved, NLP is used to shift the focus and strengthen every other function and resource that the person is using to compensate for the areas that no longer work to their full capacity. Through using the techniques of NLP, we can improve the persons quality of life and provide them with more independence by removing any possible frustrations she or he is experiencing.
