    Ep. 29: Janine Brito

    in Comedy

Holy crap, in the knick of time, Sabrina nabs Janine Brito (Chelsea Lately, Totally Biased) weeks before her move to LA. This episode can definitely be sorted in the SILLY pile but does not lack in the Barbara Walters interview quality you know and love from Jalees. As it turns out Janine has lived EVERYWHERE and through the magic of tales and sound effects, the girls travel the globe. Several original hit singles are improvised and Ursula Frei aka. MOM joins in at the end for a frank discussion about LOVE. Listen up or listen down, those are your options.

Can Communities Hire A Private Security Company in Place of City Police?

    in Women

Many community activists are calling for some kind of boycott during the holiday season in order to protest racial injustice. Some point to the successful Montgomery Bus Boycott as an example of how withdrawal of financial support can force necessary social change. But others say that the wrong message was sent with the efforts to desegregate buses in Montgomery: What should have happened is that African Americans should have used the money they saved to buy their own bus company. With that thought in mind, what would happened if communities hired their own private security company? Would that eliminate conflicts with racially biased city police officials? How much money would participating citizens have to contribute? Are there any existing companies that people trust to police their communities instead of the city police? Are enough communities organized into or neighborhood associations that are able to legally hire a security company to patrol their streets?

School Punishes Black Girl More Severely Than White Girl

    in Religion

These days the stories of racial injustice just don’t stop.  At Dutchtown middle school in Henry County Georgia, two girls, one Black and one White, were accused of writing graffiti on the wall of a gym bathroom.  The Black girl was punished far harsher than her White friend.

This type of biased treatment goes beyond race and has landed squarely in the realm of skin color.  Yes, studies show that darker skinned girls are punished more severely than light skinned ones.

Obviously, students displaying ill behavior must suffer the consequences of their actions.  But the punishment should be the same if the violation is the same.  This injustice has been going on in greater society for far too long.  The question is, will or should society sit idly by while these injustices are perpetrated on the youngest amongst us?  What course of action should be taken to correct this great evil?  These are just a couple of the questions that will be entertained in the Virtual Living Room.

THE WRITERS LOUNGE PRESENTS: JIM ALLEN

    in Writing

Join hosts Tom Riddell and Robin Eduardo as they welcome author Jim Allen to The Writers Lounge. Sit back and relax as Jim discusses what it's like to be a writer and he will also talk to us about his book: NOTHING IS AS IT APPEARS. IT IS ALL SMOKEN MIRRORS (Part #2: UFO's)

Jim Allen, in this book, takes you on a wild ride through some of the greatest tragedies in American History. With the evidence and logic provided, the reader can come to their own conclusions as to which events exhibit cover-up and conspiracy.
This book demonstrates that information the general public receives through media sources is often biased and manipulated in content from higher sources.

It’s a fast, easy read and will probably have a profound psychological effect on the reader. It will leave you with an imprint that “nothing is as it appears, it’s all – Smoken Mirrors!

*On this show we will discuss UFO's in depth (90 minute show)

    WHAT OR WHO IS "SOA"?

    in Women

Friday night's show is going to be one filled with surprises, and spins.

By now my listening audience know I love music of all genres.  But if you've noticed, I especially love the sounds made by a B3 Hammond Organ.  I played one for over 43 years, and I am definitely biased when it comes to pipe sounds.

Is music the language of the Universe?  Do many of us have more in common that we think we do?  My Special Guest SOA and his music are appearing on the show this Friday.

Enjoy this episode with me and my Co-Host Sybil Marie Presley.  Also in the studio will be Sharon Coleman with her segment:  "Wrags To Ritches"!

LatinoTalk Texas 2014, 0039 Thanksgiving, Christmas & Catholic news

    in Politics

On today's show, I discuss first the importance and significance of both the Thanksgiving holiday and the beginning of the Christmas season which began yesterday with Advent. I also point out the importance of praying for those less fortunate who suffer in poverty and oppression. I urge you to give to poor during the Christmas season as well. On the line of religion which is so important to Latinos, I read two important news articles related to that. Bishop Chaput of Philadelphia gives an interview regarding Pope Francis' visit there coming next year and comments on the nature of biased news reporting concerning the Pontiff's commentary. In another article concerning Pope Francis, the Pontiff met with Patriarch Bartholomew I in Istanbul, Turkey over the weekend and the Pontiff received the blessing of the Patriarch in the form of a kiss upon his head. This is a continuing of the efforts of reapproachment by Saint Pope John Paul, The Great, who sought to engage in diplomatic and religious amity with the Orthodox and Protestant Churches. Pope Benedict XVI also continued the effort and made great strides in connecting with members of the Episcopal Churches. Pope Francis continues this effort and this event marks another great stride forward as it is recognized that the two churches are co-equal and parallel in their direction. I then read an article about a Rasmussen poll that reportedly shows that 62% of "LIKELY' voters opposed Obama's executive action regarding immigration. Though I read the article I also criticize it as being biased and the poll as also being biased and aimed at propaganda possibly. I also read an article concerning the slight slowing of "Black Friday" sales this year. Lastly, I read briefly the news about the upcoming test launch of the new NASA space exploration capsule, Orion. I am very excited about this new spacecraft.
