The Nutrition-Complexion Connection - Beverly Nadler

    in Health

The Nutrition-Complexion Connection is important to understand and address. Join us today, as our Health Guru, Beverly Nadler, covers this very important subject.

Skin problems, especially acne, affect our appearance and therefore, our self-esteem.  According to the American Academy of Dermatology, 85 percent of Americans experience acne at some point in their lives, 40 to 50 million people have it at any given time, and Americans spend over $2 billion per year treating and preventing it. 62% of acne patients are adults and most are women.  Statistics in other countries are not much different. Until recently most dermatologists believed diet has no effect on acne or any skin problem. But is that really true?  Find out how you can eat your way to clearer, healthier skin.  Find out what healthy products to use that are safe and effective for your skin.

iAdvocate Ladies ~ Beverly Newman Shares A Miracle of Guardianship

    in Business

Join Candice Schwager and Kris Hood at 6:00 pm CST / 7:00 est as Beverly Newman shares a true miracle story with us in guardianship. Oxymoron? Not this time. The irony is baffling to the mind, but  Beverly Newman's father, Al Katz, could escape the Nazi Holocaust only to end up in guardianship starving to death decades, later as he prepared for his golden years in Sunny Florida and ended up in guardianship gulag. Katz was literally within a few heart beats of death when God stepped in and brought him back from the brink. His loving daughter, Beverly, has an amazing story, that will leave you believing there's still HOPE for so many, possibly your family members. Beverly's story is remarkable. She paints a picture that is well over a 1000 words to take your breath away. Sunday is reserved for the ladies of iAdvocate Radio so join us gals!  It's ladies night out!!!

As a writer, I contributed to Sheri Keys 7th book, “Finding Fulfillment in the Spiritual Age.” I am currently collaborating with Zoe Life Publications to produce an anthology that will feature 15 co-authors in the book titled, "Learning to Fly With Broken Wings!" This project is set to include anyone who has or is being affected by any life changing illness in any form; family members and caregivers included. Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, Cancer, Crohns' and Lymes' disease and others are just a few of these debilitating illnesses that we want to bring awareness.

Executive Business Writing is a company that I developed several years ago to assist many who neither have the time or perhaps even the skill set to successfully and professionally produce various writing projects. I am a successful proofreader and editor and have several projects to my credit. My assignment is to coach one through the writing process and develop their manuscript into a successful book that can be enjoyed by their target audience. At Executive Business Writing our motto is, “We Write So You Don’t Have To!” We specialize in producing professional resumes, business plans, and business startup packages and grant writing as well.

I am blessed to have edited, proofread and/or formatted several successful books for new authors.  Such projects include: “The Evolution of a Bishop,” by Bishop Stephen L. White, “Born in the Wrong Family, But For the Right Reason,” by Pastor Ken Hartfield and my latest project, ”Loc Life: Lifestyles of the Loc’d and Lovely,” by Ms. Linita Dawkins Butler.  Ms. Butler and I are set to embark upon her 2nd book this spring.  The title is: “Loc Life: Lifestyles of Tenacious Men!”

HABITS - Helpful or Harmful? Beverly Nadler

    in Self Help

HABITS can be very helpful or harmful.
Psychologists say that 90% or more of everything we do is directed by subconscious programming. Our Health Guru, Beverly Nadler, says these are automatic responses to life and, therefore, habitual.  We need automatic habitual responses in order to have a routine to our lives and prevent chaos.
However, harmful habits interfere with health, and happiness. We’ve all declared intentions to free ourselves of undesired habits -- smoking, excess drinking, eating junk food,  procrastination, etc. – (you know the habits you want to be free of) -- but usually we find that even if we are successful, the habits often return.  Why? Because we are not just dealing with a “change of mind,” we are also dealing with the physical organ through which our non-physical mind operates – our brain.  And that means we are dealing with brain waves and vibrations, neurotransmitters and neurology, and all the chemicals and hormones our brain instructs our body to release.
Join us today for a fascinating subject, and find out how to deal with your undesired habits.
Kudos to you for your good habits, such as walking, exercise, meditation, eating and using healthy products, and of course, listening to this show every day.

A Conversation with Roderick Cunningham, Beverly Cunningham Outreach Program

    in Motivation

Join us today for a conversation with Roderick Cunningham, Founder and Executive Director of The Beverly Cunningham Outreach Program, Inc.  The Beverly Cunningham Outreach Program was founded in 2010 after Roderick's mother Beverly Cunningham was shot point blank in the head by her husband October 27, 2009.  Domestic violence has had a strong hold on Roderick's family dating back to his grandmother being shot at by her husband.  Roderick has turned his pain into positive action by helping other victims, survivors and our youth to once again embrace a normalcy of life through the Beverly Cunningham Outreach Program and its partners.  The mission of BCOP is to provide individual and group counseling, advocacy and rehabilitation services to survivors of domestic violence.  The foundation also seeks to be an outlet for community youth who are at risk of becoming victims of violence, substance abuse or who are impacted by health issues.  This program has helped over 4,100 individuals through its domestic violence programs, economic empowerment, and community outreach.

Roderick will share with us concerning an upcoming production, presented by Robin Givens entitled, Joy In The Morning, in celebration of Women's History Month.  This is a story of hope after heartbreak.. with heavenly help!

Roderick Cunningham has accomplished much in his life - yet he understands the importance of family.  Spending quality time with his wife and daughter are a priority.
