Friends are confused when we talk about the trends of designers loving of brass and animal print. We're talking with design expert Jennifer Bertrand about how to do the trend right, so our spaces don't end up looking like an episode of 'Dallas' from the 80s.
Our guest Jennifer also has appeared on 'Paint-Over' that showcased her speciality of decorative painting, and 'HGTV Showdown,' which was an intense duel where HGTV designers battled in head-to-head competitions.
Raised in a military family, Jennifer spent her childhood moving to different Air Force bases around the world. She says her passion for design began when she saw her mother "magically" transform their modest surroundings into an elegant environment each time they moved. The years she spent living abroad further shaped her love of design, offering her inspiration throughout Europe, from decorative grand palaces to rustic outdoor antique markets. After teaching art in elementary schools in Italy and Kansas, Jennifer, along with her English husband, Chris, now own a design business in Olathe, Kansas.

'TMDS' tonight will be hosted by Professional Challenge Coach Deborah Berry. This special BrainInjuryRadio telecast will also see Matt Duffin, sitting on the 'other' side of his desk, as Ms. Berry "interviews the interviewer" as the former BIRN host will straighten Matt's act up with her skillful approach in the often overlooked TBI thoughts of:
"The Secrets Behind Closed Doors" - There is no Taboo...
The secrets we keep locked up behind doors, which have NOT been discussed before on BIRN. Deb digs deep into Matt's untold story and opens some hidden truths about his life, and indeed, Deborah's own life and survival.
Shhhhh!! This is sacred. Hush-hush subjects most people keep quiet, when, in fact, most TBI Survivors have alike situations and thoughts. Want Deborah to answer a Taboo question you have? E-mail her prior to Sunday at Deborah@SurvivorsPayItForward.com. Ask her to share a taboo story you are dying to understand better, or would like to see Matt squirm - have her ask him! You do not have to talk On Air, and you will remain anonymous.
TUNE IN AND HEAR THE LINE UP, as Matt will return to his desk in the later hours. Traumatic Brain Injury = TBI. TBI = To Be Informed. www.deborahberry.com and www.survivorspayitforward.com. Ah, vacation. Reservations again this year at the Milton Hilton, close to the corn waves. For the next few weeks (5-ish) TMDS will offer replays of "The Best of Duffin" (quit laughing). Not going to do nothing, except recover at ease, ride my bike, mow, have a yard sale, play Miracle Baseball, Coach Miracle Baseball, join Racer's for TBI Awareness, go Back-to-BICS-Basics, write, & celebrate my 6th re-birthday!

B. Berry has written two murder mysteries using Boston, Massachusetts as the backdrop. COLD CRAZY is a story of a young beautiful nurse who has been brutally and senselessly murdered. COLD SERIAL is about a serial killer who is terrorizing young women. Both titles are currently being published through Vigilante Publishing Group LLC. Although Ms. Berry prefers to write about murder, her first book, EVEN NUMBERS is a story of a young girl who was molested by her father and then ultimately raised by him. She would like to keep the subject of child molestation and child rape in the forefront of our minds. Ms. Berry resides in Florida where she writes full-time while enjoying the sunshine and ocean views.

Chuck Berry is the poet laureate of rock and roll. In the mid-Fifties, he took a fledgling idiom, born out of rhythm & blues and country & western, and gave it form and identity. A true original, Berry crafted many of rock and roll’s greatest riffs and married them to lyrics that shaped the rock and roll vernacular for generations. He has written numerous rock and roll classics that have been covered by multitudes of artists and stood the test of time. In all essential ways, he understood the power of rock and roll – how it worked, what it was about and who it was for. -Rock & Roll Hall of Fam
