Benjamin J. Patterson, is a newly published author from New Orleans, Louisiana and wrote his first book "Stuff Happens" after the devastating hurricane Katrina. Stuff Happens is his personal accounts of how Katrina not only impacted his city but also his life. Benjamin wrote "Stuff Happens" as an inspiration to himself and others facing life's challenges while maintaining the will and determination to succeed. After writing "Stuff Happens" Benjamin discovered his love for writing and sharing it with others. Since then Benjamin has Co-authored two erotic anthologies called V.I.P 2 and Closet Freaks to explore his literary talent. Benjamin plans on releasing a novel titled "Street Meat" a book titled A "Mother's Love Transformed into a Legacy of Love by January of 2014.
If you are the self-appointed or elected person to be "the family historian." It starts out as a hobby, are simply because you enjoy history or just telling a good story. You are excited for the information that you found. The next thing you know you are now hooked and now it is your passion. The family and others see how excited you are about genealogy. They are starting to tell you new stories and giving more information to put in the family archives. Now you are the "offically family historian" you are the keeper of all the important family documents and information. When there is a need to put together a funeral program or obituary requiring detail information, you proudly go to your records and pass on the information.
The next thing you know twenty plus years has passed by and your are still gathering documents, photographs, and other information about your family.
