Rex Bear welcomes author Lon Milo DuQuette
Lon is an American writer, lecturer, musician, and occultist, best known as an author who applies humor in the field of Western Hermeticism.
Lon was an aspiring studio musician and recording artist in the 1970s, releasing two singles and an album, Charley D. and Milo, on the Epic Records label. He and his partner Charles Dennis Harris (now Charley Packard), opened for Hoyt Axton, Arlo Guthrie and performed with Sammy Davis Jr.
In 1972, he quit the music business and for the next 25 years he pursued his interest in mysticism, particularly the work of Aleister Crowley (1875–1947). DuQuette began writing professionally in 1988 and has since published 16 books.
A 2005 gift of a ukelele re-ignited his interest in music. Two self released CD's and a new record contract followed. In March of 2012, DuQuette released I'm Baba Lon on Ninety Three Records, his first studio album in 40 years. He followed up with Baba Lon II in September 2012.
His third CD, Gentle Heretic, released Halloween, 2013, included the single, Bernice, which won First Prize in the 2013 Competition Alley US Open Mic Singer Songwriter competition.
Lon's latest release is the controversial single I'm Scared.
Today's show is about getting through some of the struggles that hinder when you can't let people know you're struggling. There are times when we must walk a particular path alone, not because others are not in our corner but because God is aiming to show us that HE is and HE is able.
If you're in a storm, remember that you aren't alone and hop on this broadcast to be encouraged and strengthened. The right tools will take the pain away.
GBBLive returns to its normal Thursday night time slot at 7 CT talking the week that was in Grizzly Bear Blues, and man, what a week!

The guys will also talk about GBB's huge expansion over the past 8 days.
In the second segment Joe will welcome Ben Hogan, the producer of 92.9 ESPN in Memphis' "Eric Hasseltine" show, back to the program. Ben has been an excellent guest in the past and his perspective on Grizzlies offseason moves will be great to hear.

Red Elk's Kickoff of Prophecykeepers Radio on Blogtalk Radio
May 31, 2012
Red Elk of www.RedElkSpeaks.com is our guest tonight! He is very highly respected amongst the traditionalist Cree of Canada... and many other nations. Red Elk's buddy Heather Dalberg is producing the show.
How did Prophecykeepers Foundation come to exist? Mad Bear Anderson was the founder of the Indian Unity Movement... and its child, the American Indian Movement. He was a Lord or "Faithkeeper" of the 6 Nations (Iroquois) Confederacy.
He said, "Someday someone will collect all the Native People’s prophecies, myths and legends, and would publish them in one place, so they could be compared with those of all Native Peoples worldwide." “...and then we really will have something!”
Someone HAS collected Native People’s prophecies, myths and legends, and published them in one place. That someone's name is Will "Blueotter" Anderson... an associate of Mad Bear Anderson's close friend john "Rolling Thunder" Pope, the most famous medicine man of the 20th century. These prophecies are contained in the 1000 pages in the four e-books to the right! If you study them, you will discover a pattern of recurring events... and how to prepare for them.
I get asked all the time about what firearms people should procure for end of the world situations. First off, as you know, I consider "the end of the world scenarios" to be the last type scenario you should be preparing for, but it just so happens that most of the weapons I would suggest for the end of the world will also work in all of the most common self defense situations most people will face.
And the first thing you should know is that everyone's situation is going to be a bit different and because of that, suggestions for self and home defense may well also be different. There is no one size fits all that is going to work for everyone.
If you live in a home 70 miles from anywhere and anyone in the wilds of Montanna, your needs and your situation is going to be different than a person living in an apartment in downtown Houston.
What you are going to have to consider as possible "threats" which will have to be overcome may well be much different as well. You will not have to worry about an 800 pound grizzly bear in downtown Houston (barring an earthquake releasing zoo animals), and the family in Montana is more than probably not going to be worrying about immediate hordes of looters trying to break down their doors.
Everyone has a different level and type of threat and everyone has different levels of experience and familiarity with firearms.
Tonight we are going to discuss where you need to start thinking about your own situation and preparing for it when deciding on what type of firearm might be most usefull to you and yours in most home and self defense situations.
Be sure and call in with your comments and suggestions at 347-308-8790
Thanks, and hope to see you here!
