Our guests this morning are Leslie Page, Chair Elect of the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce and Lorrie the Lobster!
Leslie Page is often referred to as the queen of the harbor - she has worked for the Redondo Beach Marina for 25 years and has been with the Chamber the entire time. She was on the front lines when the first Lobster Festival was created 19 years ago and has been active ever since, watching the festival evolve into the premier event it is today. Leslie is a 4th generation southern Californian, loves the ocean and all it has to offer.
Lorrie the Lobsta has been around and seen it all and you wouldn’t want to bite into this crustacean……even with lots of butta. She originally hails from New England and happily washed up on the shores of Redondo Beach when the Lobster Festival started in 1995. Lorrie lives for the last weekend in September when she can again strut her stuff, dance to the Village People songs, and take pictures with her numerous fans at the Lobster Festival. Babies, toddlers, teens, couples, singles and grandmas - everyone loves having their picture taken with the Lobstas as part of their festival experience.
This morning, we’re going to hear all about the 2014 Redondo Beach Lobster Festival taking place this weekend at Seaside Lagoon in Redondo Beach.

Tune in on Tuesday September 23, at 8 PM CDT (What is Central Daylight Time?)
This week we will be discussing the Byron Case murder case with Byron's mother Evelyn Case, and the author of "The Skeptical Juror and the Trial of Byron Case,” John Bennett Allen.
We will be taking calls during the second half of the show. Please call (347) 850-1478 with questions and comments about the case.
Anastasia Elizabeth WitbolsFeugen was murdered on the evening of October 22, 1997. Her body was found in a cemetery with a gunshot wound to her face. WitbolsFeugen had been fighting with her fiancé Justin Bruton on the night of her murder. Bruton’s body would later be found behind an abandoned warehouse where he had taken his own life with a shotgun.
Police repeatedly referred to WitbolsFeugen’s death as a murder suicide but the case remained open for three years, until police received shocking information from Kelly Moffett implicating her ex-boyfriend Byron Case for the murder. Moffett and Case were friends with WitbolsFeugen and Bruton and were with the couple earlier in the evening before the murder occurred.
According to Byron's supporters, the prosecution's case was built primarily on the testimony of the embittered ex-girlfriend Moffett. They claim she implicated Case in an act of revenge because Case had ended their relationship. Supporters also claim that Moffett has a long history with drug abuse and mental illness. Case is currently serving two consecutive life sentences for murder based on her testimony. Did the false testimony of a vindictive ex-girlfriend take the freedom of an innocent man? Tune in to hear the details of this compelling case.

Attorney Sarah Steele and writer Bennet Pomerantz discuss the subjects of the day.
The audience should know that although Ms. Steele is a licensed attorney, she is not offering legal advice in any capacity, is not establishing an attorney/client relationship with anyone listening to the show, and recommends that any listener of the show consult a local attorney for any legal advice they may require.
This show is about us discussing hot topics and how they relate to the law.
Tonight we discuss the case surrounding the death of Joan Rivers. There are many issues surrounding this tragic case, including the civil and criminal liability that the doctors that treated Ms. Rivers could face. Were the doctors negligent in their treatment of the famous comedienne? Was consent given for the "selfie" that the doctor took while Ms. Rivers was unconscious? If no consent was given, does that make the doctor "egregiously" negligent, thereby raising their liability from civil to criminal? Tune in and hear the hosts discuss the specifics about Ms. Rivers' death.
Gas up the patrol car, sharpen your pencils, get that clean notepad, and remember this "Just the facts, ma'am."

Issue: The City of West Palm Beach is on the hook for three (3) million misallocated federal tax dollars. Who's to Blame?
In WPB it's payback time. The City owes $3 million dollars back to the federal government in HUD funding. For some reason, in 2005 the City hired the Redemptive Life Church to operate the program. Interestingly enough the Church's registered agent/ attorney, Keith James sits on the City's Commission. How's the program doing? How's the church doing? What happened to the federal dollars? Why is Keith James involved? Who's to Blame?
I know it's a local blame, but they misused federal tax dollars.
