    Redondo Beach International Boardwalk

    in Current Events

Our guests this morning are Andrea Giancoli, Joy Corradetti, Bernard Ibarra and Jessica Lo Ibarra, all proprietors of businesses on the International Boardwalk in Redondo Beach.

Registered Dietitian Andrea Giancoli is a nutrition and health advocate, consultant and communicator. She is a past National Media Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and continues to provide nutrition expertise to television, radio, internet and print media outlets across the country.  .

Joy Corradetti has been a resident of Redondo Beach for over 25 years and was an employee of both Boeing and Raytheon when she was laid off during the recent recession. Living just a few blocks from the Redondo Pier and Marina, Joy took frequent walks on the waterfront and pondered opening a business that would fill a niche in the area.

Bernard Ibarra was born in the Basque country and immigrated to Canada. He then proceeded to cook all over the world including Israel, Lesoto, Singapore, Hong Kong, Houston and New Orleans.

As a child of Chinese immigrants growing up in Vancouver, Jessica Lo Ibarra found herself surrounded by an abundance of authentic international cuisine. At an early age, she moved to the US to pursue her design studies and focused her career on hospitality spaces combining her experience as both a designer and a casino marketing executive.

This morning, we’re going to talk about the recent renaissance of the boardwalk and the proposed revitalization of the Redondo Beach Waterfront.
