Whether you are a man or a woman, we've all had the experience of rummaging through a bag, a box, a pocket, a drawer, looking for the elusive item that just seems to be out of our reach. Yet when we find what we are looking for, there is that moment of elation!

Established in 2010 as a simple podcast, D Pad D Bags is a premiere online source for gaming commentary and humor. If you want vapid previews, up-to-the-second rumors, or puff-piece reviews that pander to advertisers, you're in the wrong place. You can find steaming piles of that crap all over the Internet. My guest this Sunday, Nov. 3 is author Nike Campbell-Fatoki. We will be 'chatting' about her new book, Thread of Gold Beads.
About the author:
Nike Campbell-Fatoki was born in Lvov, Ukraine to Nigerian parents. She spent her formative years in Lagos, Nigeria, listening to stories and folktales told by her maternal Grandparents. Her fondest memories were the weekends her mother took her and her siblings to Kings Way, on Lagos Island, returning back with bags of story books.
About the book:
Amelia, daughter of the last independent King of Danhomè, King Gbèhanzin, is the apple of her father’s eye, loved beyond measure by her mother, and overprotected by her siblings. She searches for her place within the palace amidst conspirators and traitors to the Kingdom. Just when Amelia begins to feel at home in her role as a Princess, a well-kept secret shatters the perfect life she knows. Someone else within the palace also knows and does everything to bring the secret to light. A struggle between good and evil ensues causing Amelia to leave all that she knows and loves. She must flee Danhomè with her brother, to south-western Nigeria. In a faraway land, she finds the love of a new family and God. The well-kept secret thought to have been dead and buried, resurrects with the flash of a thread of gold beads. Amelia must fight for her life and what is left of her soul.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Join your spirited host MTG and Asian sensation and professional tarot card reader, Nick Endres (returning for his 2nd stint as our top-of-the-show “sidekick”) and our Featured Guest, the delightfully and deliciously talented character actress, Dale Raoul - who appears on CBS’s “Under the Dome” and the long-running hit HBO series “True Blood” - two shiveringly perfect guests for tonight’s hauntedly entertaining show.
MTG kicks off the show with Nick Endres to see what’s happening in his world and then flips the switch as quick as a ghost to throw his guest sidekick some Word Up! curveballs – a word/mind association game where he’ll say a word, name or phrase and ask our sidekick to say the first thing that comes to his mind. Then we gear up for Shitz and Giggles (or Crap That Makes You Laugh) – those slice of life moments that happen all around us. This week’s hard-to-believe headline: “Boozy Butt Bite Bags Boy Behind Bars.” Our featured guest, veteran character actor, the ever-so-lovely and delightful Dale Raoul will join the conversation and share with us some of the amazing stops along the way of her ever-growing list of credits in stage, film, and television, her involvement as a patron of the arts, her inspiring mom, Carol and the importance and value of our furry friends, our pets. Then it’s time for JUST THE TIP! with our audience – A how-to moment where we give you just enough info to get you started. This week’s topic: “10 (Lesser Known) Ways Dogs Improve Our Lives.”
And stick around for a spooky rendition of our JUKEBOX 5. This week’s list features songs that are inspired by or invoke the spirit of Halloween.
