...every little girl dreams of the day she will marry her Prince Charming and have children. She plans her entire life out before age 13. But sometimes life happens, and it’s nothing like we dreamed...
We're sitting down with Minister Tia Jackson-Boyd, Founder/CEO of Sisters Of Strength-Missouri and posing the question, "Can you heal spiritually when the unthinkable happens naturally?" Minister Boyd started the organization to help women overcome and deal with the unconceivable. Sisters Of Strength-Missouri is a non-profit organization based out of St. Louis, MO established to help encourage and build up the "Barren Women." Women who are incapable of having children and may feel inferior due to the medical and physical inabilities that accompanies infertility. Their efforts are to help encourage them emotionally and mentally by conveying a message of hope. They are still a valuable woman with a purpose and full-life. But S.O.S-MO goes even beyond this mission. They also direct women who are single mothers in need of assistance, to the proper available resources in the areas of job placement, housing, educational needs, medical assistance, proper day care for their child/children and more. “We believe in helping to stabilize the whole total woman and to ensure they possess the necessities that are needed to sustain a healthy way of living for their families,” says the Founder.
Tune in as The Triumph Challenge with your host, Author Tiffany Nicole Woods interviews Sisters Of Strength Missouri regarding Infertility and how God has ordained her to help women, “Overcome Spiritually, What Naturally Oppresses.”
Welcome to The Triumph Challange. We will Overcome Spiritually, What Naturally Oppresses. With God.
It is estimated that one in six American couples (7.3 million women) are affected by infertility. Christian women are no more immune to these astounding statistics than anyone else. When experiencing infertility, a woman’s feelings about herself, her relationships with others and her belief in God become confused and complicated. Having experienced these emotions herself, Lesli A. Westfall has written Dancing Upon Barren Land: Prayer, Scripture Reflections, and Hope for Infertility not only as a prayer guide for women facing infertility, but as a resource for churches and support groups. Much like many couples today, Westfall and her husband put a family on hold for their careers and to build a savings. In fact, this approach has become so prevalent in today’s society that within the fertility world it has been given the official terminology as “delayed parenting.” By the time Westfall felt God nudging her to start a family, it was too late—a number of factors, including age, kept her from carrying a child of her own. “I went through the range of emotions one goes through in trying to get pregnant. I felt angry at God, jealous of others who were expecting, disappointed every month and essentially left with a broken heart,” she confesses.
As Westfall went through this difficult season, she would journal, writing out her feelings and frustrations as she prayed to God for His help. When Westfall reflected upon what she had written, she clearly saw God and His faithfulness every step of the way. She realized God was turning her disappointments into appointments with Him, leading to the creation of the Dancing Upon Barren Land ministry and eventually the new book by the same name.

Hour of Power Broadcast Study Text : Judges 13: 1-25 Key Verse : Judges 13 : 3-5 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing For, lo, thou shalt, conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he sha
10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. 11 There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after. (Solomon; Ecclesiastes 1:10 - 11)
20 And some of the sons of men caused their wives to drink a draught (before the flood) that would render them barren, in order that they might retain their figures and whereby their beautiful appearance might not fade. Jasher
They had quite an advanced civilization and technology which was destroyed in the flood. Jesus stated "as in the days of Noah, so shall the coming of the son of man be" (i.e. technology, saith the Lord and mixing with the black race of Cain before the flood, hence the flood.)
ECOLOGY AND THE BIRTH-CONTROL PILL Oct. 22, 1984 If there is a delicate balance in the ecological framework of nature, how much more so does this apply to man himself, and his relationship with his family and those of the opposite sex? The modern liberal can with ease look out into the balance of nature and see where the hand of man has upset this delicate balance, but why can’t the same liberal see where he has upset his own balance by tampering with nature as regards himself? He can see, in his swaggering hypocrisy, how that by killing the coyote, for instance, the balance is upset, and the jack-rabbit becomes therefor a menace to the happiness of the farmer, and the liberal, with his science, swaggers to and fro in the earth, thinking himself god-like in his impotence. Do not the heavens regard him as the TRULY POWERLESS fool he is, while he digs his own pit, and regards not his own state as he falls headlong into the pit he has dug with his own wretchedfingers, with his medicine , and his (and her) genetic engineering...Teaching of the OMS, No. 47
SideShow presents Generation MTV: Is commercialism killing real music? The programming on todays “Music TeleVision” is geared towards the ADHD riddled youth. Mindless shows featuring (mostly) drunken buffoons arguing has taken the place of music. First to pacify the older crowd MTV introduced MTV 2, where they promised to keep playing music. This was short lived as they needed more room for mind numbing “entertainment”.
Good radio stations are also being phased out and turned into pop and top 40 stations, where they rotate the same garbage all day. Even if you find a good song in the needle barren haystack it will be overplayed until you are sick of hearing it.
We are living with a generation that has catchier commercials than actual songs. It’s sad when you can remember all the words to a jingle and not remember the name of that great band who played that song you used to love. This is what “they” want. They want you to tune in and tune out. They don’t want you to think, they already do that for you.
