Tonight, Alan and Steve recap the first quarter of the baseball season by handing out the “Quarter Pole” awards. Who are the MVP’s, CY Young’s, Rookies of the Year and Managers of the year so far in the 2013 season? The guys from the MLB Show deliver their picks.
Which team(s) wins the award for biggest disappointment and which team(s) is this season’s biggest surprise. Alan and Steve will tell you. Also, do not miss some of the more interesting stats from the first quarter of the season, as Alan delivers the “According to Elias” segment.
The guys will then breakdown what has been up and down seasons for the Nationals and Orioles. With plenty of baseball remaining, can these two playoff teams from a year ago get back to playing post-season type of baseball?
As graduations are in full swing, Alan and Steve will help you get your fantasy baseball degree, as they deliver a new segment called "Fantasy 101". Let the guys take you to fantasy baseball school and tell which players you must start and sit for the upcoming games this week. The guys will also give you the heads up on players you should be looking for on the waiver wires.
You will also hear from Indians manager Terry Franconia as well as Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw. Alan also has interviews from around the world of sports talk radio with O’s skipper Buck Showalter and Nats Manager Davey Johnson.

Dennis Swanberg: "The Man Code"
If laughter is truly the best medicine, then Dennis Swanberg, Dennis Swanberg, author of The Man Code is America's "Minister of Encouragement" and is just what the doctor ordered. With his down-home charm and heaping helping of hospitality, this Austin, Texas born pastor-turned-comedian has won the hearts of audiences across the country. Raised in what he calls a "mostly blue-collar, but sometimes ring-around-the collar" family during the fifties, that old black and white television in the corner of the living room became an important part of making Swanberg the success he is today. "Most moms yell at kids to go outside and play", he remembers with a laugh, "My mom would say, 'you sit there and watch that television - your daddy worked so hard for it!'" her "encouragement's" paid off. Kathleen Marden
Kathleen Marden is a well-known UFO abduction researcher, author and lecturer with 23 years experience in the field. She is MUFON’s International Director of Abduction Research. For ten years Kathy volunteered as MUFON’s Director of Field Investigator Training. In 2012, she was the recipient of MUFON’s "Researcher of the Year" award.
Her interest in UFOs dates back to September 20, 1961, when her aunt, Betty Hill phoned her nearby home to report that she and Barney had encountered a flying saucer in New Hampshire’s White Mountains. A primary witness to the evidence of the UFO encounter and the aftermath, Kathleen has intimate knowledge of the Hill’s biographical histories, personalities, and the previously unpublished historical files pertaining to their sensational story.
She is the author of three books, Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience, Science was Wrong, with nuclear physicist/scientific ufologist Stanton T. Friedman, and The Alien Abduction Files, with Denise Stoner (May 2013 release).
