Shane and Sia began modeling at the age of seven when they posed for a layout in a Sears catalog. As adults, their career has included fashion and mainly pin-up modeling. In the early 90's they modeled for Chanel, Thierry Mugler, John Galliano, Jean-Paul Gautier, and others. The LA Times did a cover story about the Barbi Twins when their billboard went up on Sunset Boulevard in 1989, immediately catapulting them to world wide attention. It caught the eye of Hugh Hefner, who put them on the cover of "Playboy" magazine's September, 1991 issue. It broke records by selling out in less than two weeks.
The twins have chronicled their eating disorders in two books, and have been involved in animal rights issues and rescue for years. In 2009 they became very active in lobbying against the ROAM bill for wild horses along with Willie Nelson, and continued their support speaking openly about the horse slaughter ban, the ban on de-clawing and the fight against factory farms and animal cruelty.
They will be joined tonight by lawyer, Nathan Winograd, head of "No Kill Advocacy," and Chris Heyde, Animal Lobbyist (www.awionline.org).
Your hosts, Jeromie Williams the Managing Editor for PetPardons.com and Tawnee Preisner the Vice President of Horse Plus Humane will be speaking with the dynamic duo and leading celebrity voices of the animal advocacy world, the Barbi Twins.
We'll also be speaking with singer-song writer Amy Nelson, daughter of acclaimed country legend Willie Nelson about her role in the animal rights world.
Also joining the Barbi Twins will be champion horse lobbyist Chris Heyde, outspoken activist Steve Best and one of the few politicians to pose with his dog, Nevada State Senator, Mark Manendo.
Closing out the show in an exclusive interview we will be featuring Darren, Donny and David Hendrickson, the owners of the animal shelter friendly and ground breaking skate boarding company Hendrick Boards.
Listeners will get the chance to call in and speak with all of our guests, or ask any general pet questions they might have. Our producer Amanda Foss will be taking your calls and getting you live on air.
SURPRISE: Every caller to this episode will be entered into a special draw to win a free "Square It" t-shirt from the Hendrick Boards boys.

At age 46, I have reinvented myself, revamped my career, and rejuvenated my life! I’m living my dreams and enjoying every minute of it! Exactly what does that mean? Well, for me, it meant that life didn’t stop when I entered into my 40s. Hopefully for you, it will also mean that life doesn’t have to stop once you enter into your 40s. It’s not doomsday! After all, 40 is the new 20, isn’t it? Women are no longer rushing into marriage immediately following high school or college. There is this new urgency for women to secure independence, establish a career and be financially stable before entering into marriage or even having children. Women are now birthing children much later in life; late 30s or even early 40s. Actresses, Halle Berry, Kim Basinger, Susan Sarandon, and Brooke Shields all birthed their first child while in their 40s. Also, there are plenty of women who have decided to either go back to school, go on road trips with friends or even trying the unconventional way of online dating. I believe that as younger women our attention is directed to what others want; however as we grow into our 40s, we wonder what is that we want for ourselves. Nowadays it’s also typical for women of a more mature age to spring into action and really begin to connect with their inner being in the later years.

Jakes: Empowered to Become a Model at 43” is based on some of the highlights of my personal journey. It can also be a blueprint for a personal journey of your own; an inspiration that will empower and enable you to grab hold of your life and run with it!

Author & Motivatonal Speaker
Myron Gattison was born on August 10th, 1988 to 17 year old Melinda Gattison at Wilson Hospital in Darlington South Carolina. The father was never present so he shall remain nameless. His life growing up in a single parent home was quite different from most, because although his father was not present in his life his grandparents gave all the support he needed, helping out when his mother lacked. Myron was always larger than most children his age so he quickly took a liking to the game of football. Now 21 years old at Johnson C. Smith Myron became known as Uncle Gatt to his fellow teammates because he took college serious this time and seemed to have so much wisdom for his age. He felt like he had a new lease on life, but on the football field things were not the same. He played 2 seasons at JCSU before he departed from the team. The spring going into his senior year he found out he would no longer be on Scholarship, that was the worse day ever, but little did he know that would change his life. Now that football was all but over for Myron he started to focus more of school and life after football. Myron always had a knack for speaking and was able to deliver messages in a very unique way, style and word play that appeal to his peers but grace and professionalism that any professor would respect. Having a love for people and the youth my started to post original quotes and thoughts on social networks and before he knew it people were inviting him to speak and youth events. He came up with a mentoring program called “REALBOSSGANG” and his small business is called “LEGITLIFE”. Myron has just finished his first of many more books and looks to continue to grow his brand into a nationwide movement.
