U.S. military veterans are being deported after they serve. Many are being promised citizenship before they enlist then, deported after their service is over. Their children are being affected. Many veterans are disabled after combat service and they cannot get their medical benefits because they are being deported. Join me for this interview of Bertha Gutierrez as she discusses this national shame. http://www.banishedveterans.info/index.html https://www.facebook.com/pages/Banished-Veterans/11

BANISHED tells the story of three counties that violently expelled African American families from their towns a century ago-- and the descendants that return to learn a shocking history. Screening Scheduled for Malcolm X & Dr. Betty Shabazz Center This Summer! The Gist of Freedom and Marco Williams topic of discussion: Byrd Case, Arizona Immigration, (Undocumented) Latest project, Banished and Two Towns of Jasper.
On Saturday, September 24 we spoke with guest Fernando Cervantes, one of many foreign nationals who served in the US military and was later deported.
Unlike most banished veterans, he fought deportation and was repatriated. We will talk about this travesty of justice possible and how he fought it.
Banished veterans are just one category of veterans forgotten by the US military after serving in combat. There are tens of thousands of US-born veterans also denied VA benefitsdue to other than honorable discharges because of problems resulting from PTSD.
Starting with the subject of the deportation of foreign nationals who served in the US military we went to veteran's rights, immigration reform, militarization of Latin America, economic conscription, counter-recruitment and GI resistance and finally, how to stop the madness by abolishing corporate personhood.
Please listen to the show and call in on Saturdays to join the conversation.

When it comes to nature, every plant, every creature, every micro and macro organism plays its part. Human beings are notorious for quickly destroying wildlife for the simple reason being that these creatures are either difficult to cohabitate with or are just a nuisance. It is unfortunate that people are so disconnected with nature and do not see how each creature plays an important role that impacts other creatures (human beings included) “Leading scientists working around the globe are learning that these much feared predators may in fact hold a key to life itself. It is the presence or absence of top predators that affects the health of the entire ecosystem.”-Lords of Nature The Lords of Nature: Life in a Land of Great Predators, is a captivating documentary which tells the story of a science now discovering top carnivores as revitalizing forces of nature, and of a society now learning tolerance for beasts they once banished. In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to Karen Anspacher-Meyer, Executive Director, Green Fire Productions and Craig Miller, Southwest Representative Defenders of Wildlife. We will also discuss the issues with efforts to minimize the protection offered to these species under The Endangered Species Act. Stay tuned! Lamb of God Lutheran Church Papillion NE . Sunday morning Divine Service for 10/13/13. Pastor Philip Houser's Sermon from Luke 17. Lepers were banished to live outside the city gates. When they see Jesus walk by, they cry out for mercy. They are amazed when he comes to them and tells them to show themselves to the priests. They priests banished them and only the priests can declare them clean. In this way Christ kept the law. Like lepers, we cannot convince the priest we are clean. The law demands perfection. The Gospel must come to bear and drive away our sin. We are made clean by Jesus Christ. Our faith has made us well. We are chosen by God through His grace.

From Queens, NY in December 2011, Cartoonist and Creator, Richard Sirgiovanni, announces the launch and partnership in search of what he considers to be the next Big Thing in the music business and children’s television! Also a musician, Sirgiovanni decided to create something new by combining his two passions, which was Rock n Roll and cartooning, and created The Grimps! By night they’re 4 cool, charming, irrepressible musicians on the verge of stardom. By day, they’re hairy, scary and tiny. They lived 500 years ago, cursed by the evil Spectar because he was jealous of their music and celebrity. So he cursed and turned them into ugly little grimps, to be banished from society for eternity. Until 500 years later their friend and wizard, Magic Alex found a temporary spell to change them back to humans, but from only sunset to sunrise. The Grimps in some way is his tribute to his hero’s in music and had fun by writing subtle references to the history of rock n roll in the stories and names given for the characters. To go a step further, Sirgiovanni hopes to have many musical pop icons and contemporary celebrities as voiceovers of the characters for the show. Some that have already shown interest are: Peter Noone, Keith Emerson, Mickey Dolenz, Todd Rudgren, and Eric Burdon. In addition to the show, Sirgiovanni intends on producing original rock n roll music to be presented to the public as The Grimps. Working with Mr. Sirgiovanni on the music is Ron Alexenburg, former President of Epic & CBS Records. He’s responsible for launching acts such as, Michael Jackson, Meatloaf, Boston and The Black Eyed Peas. The Grimps theme song called “We’re The Grimps”, was written and recorded by Ron Dante & Freddie Cannon. For more information and to view the trailer, visit www.thegrimps.com

For not only is all Chicago chasing them, so are evil mages banished to Earth centuries before. Strum is their chance to return and conquer Eversong. He must stop them, even if it means forfeiting his chance to go home--or worse, his life.
