    Discussing Author and Actress Nadia Sahari's Career and Book "Break Away"

    Hi Everyone today's topic is my special guest Nadia Sahari's Career and her book Break Away How I Survived Abuse. Nadia Sahari was born in Beirut, Lebanon. She came to America at the age of two. She is 5'3" tall and petite in frame. Nadia is the eldest of eight children: five sisters and two brothers. She speaks fluent Lebanese. She has been an entrepreneur most of her life to help in the support of her two children. At times she worked three jobs a day, keeping a hectic pace which eventually led to a breakdown. But Ms. Sahari stood up again and continued the fight to make her dreams come true. She never gave up. She is a multi-tasker, always doing more than one thing at a time. She describes herself as like a little girl in a candy store. She can't take just one piece of candy, she wants to taste all the candy. Ms. Sahari has also been a guest panelist on the Oprah show. Oprah has requested a copy of Ms. Sahari's memoir. Currently, she is auditioning for commercials and film. Recently she has been cast as an Charlotte's Aunt for the movie Bandslam, and as a Reporter for the movie Corruption.     Born in Mexico, Ray L. Perez resides in the Austin, TX area yet calls Eagle Pass, TX his hometown. After receiving a BS degree from Southwest Texas State University, he moved up the road to "The Live Music Capital of the World." Ray realized his interest and love for acting at a young age, but made his dream a reality as an adult with the notion that it’s never too late to pursue your dream. Ray began his acting career when cast as an extra in the Walt Disney film, The Rookie. Having only been acting for about 3 years, Ray embraces and appreciates the opportunity to be a part of the film industry.     Profile: Eric Steelberg/Cinematographer/Up In The Air

    ERIC STEELBERG (Director of Photography) most recently photographed the Best Picture nominee "Up In The Air" with George Cloony directed by Jason Reitman. Eric is lighting his 10th film for Jason Reitman, a relationship that began on the short feature “Operation” and has continued through the award-winning and critically acclaimed “Juno,” for which Reitman received an Academy Award® nomination. The film was also nominated for four Independent Spirit Awards and won a Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack. More recently, Steelberg collaborated with Marc Webb on the offbeat romantic comedy “(500) Days of Summer” starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and “Bandslam” starring David Bowie and Lisa Kudrow, directed by Todd Graff. Steelberg, a native of Los Angeles, is a cinematographer with roots in black-and-white photography. A three-time Sundance veteran, Steelberg shot Reitman’s short film “In GodWe Trust,” which earned critical and popular acclaim in 2000. He found further success with “Quinceañera,” which won both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. Among his other collaborations with Reitman are the short films “Gulp” and “Consent,” as well as more than 20 commercial campaigns.
