    LIVE! with Cathi-Bonding through Ballet!

    in Fitness

Imagine a father and daughter bonding through the art form-BALLET.  A true story. Part of this joy for the father comes from witnessing a wonder through his daughter's eyes, from allowing her delight to fire my own.  This is among the best reasons not to give your children up for adoption the moment they become teenagers.

It began a few years ago when my daughter turned 12.  We seemed to be losing each other, just a bit to our changing lives and cell phones.  It seemed like a way to clear out some time to be together.

We were absolute beginners, she never caught the BALLET BUG as a child, and I knew little about dance but as time went on, BALLET gradually became our thing.

    STAY TUNED...

    Our dance night ritual...etc.

    A simple bonding exercise...etc.

    Reason to dress-up...etc.

    Dinner at a popular...etc.

    BALLET a new window in...etc.

Martin Yate CPC - Knock Em Dead 2016

New York Times bestseller Martin Yate is the author of Knock Em Dead – The Ultimate Job Search Guide, now going into its 31st edition. It is the keystone of a 17-book series, with each book addressing a different aspect of job search and modern career management. Collectively published in some 63 foreign language editions, the Knock Em Dead way is unique in its scope and global acceptance in industrialized nations.

With new books and editions added constantly over the last thirty-one years, Mr. Yate’s body of work has gradually evolved into a carefully integrated strategy for navigating the twists and turns of a half-cetury work life. The Knock Em Dead philosophy delivers a practical methodology for achieving professional success, personal fulfillment and financial stability in an uncertain world.

With 17 books and two optical patents to his name and as someone who last danced with a professional ballet company at age 55, he is clearly one of those who has turned ADHD into a superpower. Giving Voice to Your Courage with Bob Walicki

    in Writing

Dorit Sasson of Giving Voice to Your Courage, interviews Bob Walicki, a Pittsburgh based poet and the curator of VERSIFY, a monthly reading series in Pittsburgh, on the role courage has taken him from challenging the traditional roles of what it means to be a sensitive man in a field that looks on his poetic sensitivity as a weakness.

His work has appeared in HEArt, Stone Highway Review, Uppagus, The Kentucky Review,Grasslimb, and on the radio show Prosody. He won 1st runner up in the 2013 Finishing Line Open Chapbook Competition and was awarded finalist in the 2013 Concrete Wolf Chapbook Competition. He currently has two chapbooks published: A Room Full of Trees (Red Bird Chapbooks, 2014) and The Almost Sound of Snow Falling (Night Ballet Press, 2015). He lives in Verona, PA with his wife, Lynne, and two cats.

Bob Walicki has worked for years in the construction industry and as a plumber. As a poet, he's been the target of prejudices because he didn't fit into those traditional roles. Often he has to hide being a poet in the building trades industry though he says, "recently it's been liberating to write about those experiences in my new chapbook, "The Almost Sound of Snow Falling."

    Life Through My Eyes

    in Travel

Journalist, Morning Talk Show Host, Professional Ballet Dancer, Advocate to stop violence against women, Periscope Broadcaster and World Traveler...The amazing Irina Ivic joins us today!

    An excerpt from Irina's biography.

As a video journalist, I travelled and filmed reports in Serbia, Copenhagen, Istanbul and Hanover. As a journalist, producer and anchor I was working on a series “The Children in Need”, in cooperation with UNICEF.  I was a trademark face and a host of a promotional film in a campaign "We are changing diabetes" organized by The Republic Health Insurance Fund and host of the show "Innovators" from which RTS selects and rewards the best scientific innovations in Serbia each year.

A few years ago I got an offer to become a presenter of the Morning show, and not long after from the editorial board of the Cultural news to become one of their anchors. Today I work as a host of both shows, but new roles in the programme have not changed what one journalist carries inside - the need to observe and analyze social issues twenty-four hours a day.

The question I hear every day is - how can you wake up at four in the morning? The answer is #liveyourlife and in the meantime figure out how to do it in the best possible way.
