I will talk about how to navigate the three levels of reality.
As a child, you know only one reality because you don't have a sense of self yet (that does not develop until you are a teenager). Your sense of the entire world is limited to your family and your school. So reality consists only of your relationships with your siblings, your parents, primary caretakers, babysitters, teachers, and coaches. If you stay in a small town or village your entire life, you never get exposed to the third level of reality (humanity), but you may develop a sense of your own self.
The three levels of reality become apparent only when you live in a big city as an adult.
Once you are through your 20s and into your 30s, 40s, and 50s, you develop a sense of your self because you have a history of your feelings, thoughts, and activities that only you are responsible for.
If you get married, have kids, and have a professional career, you know the second level of reality because it becomes distinct from the first level of reality, your sense of self.
If you climb up the professional ladder, you know the third level of reality because you are making decisions that impact people you will never meet.
Once you have all three levels of reality developed in middle age, navigating each level can be very hard because each level takes so much time, energy, and focus, and you generally have time, energy and focus for only one level.
Listen to this show to learn how to navigate between all three levels of reality and be fulfilled at all three levels of reality every day.
After listening to this show, you will know how to organize your mornings so you have time for yourself, organize your afternoons so you have time for your relaitonships, and organize your evenings so you can learn about the world and be of service to humanity.
Raising a kid is great.
Raising a kid is hard. Raising a kid with a disability? That's a whole new level of both great AND hard. Victory Lane Camp is a camp for kids with disabilities AND their families. Yep. The whole gang. Mom, Dad, siblings...even grandparents, members of a church family, therapists, and babysitters. Coming together for a much needed time of rest, fun and support. Imagine, a mom gets to see her child walk for the very first time. A dad whose child has never spoken gets to hear that child say their first word. A family who is typically overwhelmed with doctor visits, medical bills, and trying to just get through the day, is able to relax and reconnect in a safe, loving and really fun environment? But the camp is also more than just a traditional camp: Victory Lane equips families to navigate difficult healthcare and educational decisions. Expert teachers guide families through financial stress, marriage tension and siblings' feelings. Plus, it gives families a place to learn together, laugh together and get stronger even in the midst of a disability. But camp, especially one that includes therapy and resources tailored for such complex needs, is often difficult to pull together. On today's show meet Brett Fischer, he's the guy that pulls it all together for these families. Find out how it makes such a difference in these families. Families that may live right next door.

It appears that Elena will have 2 dates (babysitters) to the Prom, but will they keep her in check or will she ‘eat the Prom Queen’? Will we finally get a glimpse of what Silas really looks like? Join us as we discuss the Prom and Bonnie’s opinion on the ‘new’ Elena.
Join John and Al as we explore who's watching our kids. We can't be there 24/7, we have to rely on others - babysitters, parents, other relatives, neighbors.
There is a lot of room for a BMD situation to jump off here!
Somewhere deep in our hearts, or buried in the back of our minds, are certain words of love and wisdom that just don’t get shared with our kids. Somehow, doing homework, getting to soccer practice, or music lessons, or all their other kid activities just sucks up most of the available time. And whatever may be left gets taken away by the electronic babysitters we buy to entertain our kids, because frankly, we’re exhausted. For many, the time when we finally speak these words only c
