In Search of the Baby Boomer Generation By Rick Bava

    in Business

Baby Boomers who are individuals born between, 1946-1964, are listeners of the radio, and nationally their are 78 million Baby Boomers. I am told their is great anticipation for the book.

The subject matter for the book, is centered around issues and topics germane to Baby Boomers. Their is a serious side to the book, like a discussion of caring for elderly parents, or a second career for Baby Boomers. But their is a side to the book that is retro, and a walk down memory lane for Baby Boomers. Areas such as movies, television, and music of Baby Boomers, have garnered a great deal of attention, for those who have reviewed the book.

On area that has drawn high praise is the discussion in the book, of Baby Boomers in Sports and about Sports of the life and times of Baby Boomers. This topic maybe of interest to your audience. I would welcome an opportunity to communicate about the subject matter contained in my book to your audience. Let me know if their would be a time best for your programming to have me be a guest on your show. I would very much appreciate the opportunity

Radiant Design Living and Baby Boomer Burdens with Donna Bell

    in Lifestyle

Today's show is about a subject that comes home to roost for many baby boomers ~ what to do with Mom and Dad's stuff? How do you keep peace and tranquility among relatives when emotions overtake the process.

There is not one right way to distribute non-titled property. Many people say they want to be "fair," but ideas about fairness vary. Is is fair to let the oldest decide first? Is it fair to consider only siblings and not in-laws? Is fair the same as equitable? How much does sentiment count? What role does dollar value play? What about financial, emotional and physical needs of family members?

Donna Bell will provide some guidance about those issues and more. We don't have to take on the burden of our parents' stuff ... there is another way ... the Radiant Design Living way!

    women

    in Women

Iris and Priya return for another candid conversation about women entering the wisdom years of 60! Join us for another engaging conversation about things we often do not really talk about in public, at least honestly and openly. Todays episode is about "happy to be single". So many of us women are single in our midlife. In a culture that is fixated on being in relationship as the only path to fulfillment for a woman, being single can be a real challenge. The big one is being alright with being single in the face of all of the negative conditioning that we have grown up with that tells us that we are not ok if we are not together with someone aka "Married". Once we get over that big hurdle and settle into ourselves then there are the questions of how to get our social, sexual and intimacy needs met. It takes a village of the sisterhood to break through the viels that keep us isolated, alone and in despair about our being single. Let's move through it together so that we can celebrate our lives as sovereign women loving oursleves and eachother!

We women are the weavers of the social fabric of life. Love is the bottom line of our lives. Relationship is of prime importance to us. Yet, in our tormented world we are cut off from this core value and suffer in our relationships with our mates, children, friends, and work colleagues.  It is time to come together, drop our guard, reconnect in sacred sisterhood, acknowledge what we all share as common heritage as women and learn how to truly support ourselves and one another for our personal and planetary healing and transformation. By sharing our vulnerable truth and being witnessed by one another with compassion, empathy and care we can create the culture of love that is our birthright as women. Join Iris and Priya in intimate and open conversations about what we women face as we go through the unique portal after menopause into our sixties - the entrance into our wisdom years.

Poetic Baby Boomer to Sci-Fi author...his smooth transition dealing with change!

    in Entertainment

Another great show y'all! Tonight is all about Royer's!  Do not even know if they are kin, but both have excellent works!  Tonight is also our first "Ask Mama Char" segment and it's a doozie...y'all do not want to miss my answer to this question!

We will talk with author, Daniel B. Royer, about his books "The Biography of an American Poet: Written in poetic script.", "Poetic Biography of an American Baby Boomer" and his latest sci-fi "Secrets of the Egoles Nest, Book 1".  We are going to listen to his story of how he wrote biographies in poetic formatting and making everything rhyme to his transition into science-fiction. Check him out on Amazon and Goodreads.

Our musical guest is Glen Royer with his single "Change is now here"...great vibe and uplifting lyrics.  Listen to Glen's songs on CBC Music and on YouTube (I love his handle TrueBeatlePeople).

And as always, I would love to hear from y'all at MamaChar.com and on all social medias @MamaCharBlessed.  Drop me a line and ask your question or comment on the show.

WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE WORLD OF WOMEN?

No one is better attuned to the situation of women in countries throughout the world than Rita Henley Jensen, founder and editor in chief of Women’s e-News, one of the most comprehensive and well-written publications covering women’s issues globally.  So if we want to get up-to-the-minute information about what’s happening, she is the one to talk with, and we are delighted to have Rita join us Saturday as we discuss the latest in women’s rights in general and specifically a growing phenomenon of the immigration of care givers, specifically mothers; what is becoming a universal challenge to abortion rights; and even the fuss in France over super thin models.

Tune in Saturday at 11 am Pacific time to hear what she has to say and to ask questions about the problems for women in the world and what some people are doing about it.
