Faith ABeliever's Virtual Book Club welcomes Author Stephanie Acon. Stephanie has been writing edgy fiction tales and poetry since the age of ten years old. However, it wasn't until the age of 21, when she found Hip-Hop, (or Hip-Hop found her) that subsequently she became known to the underground Hip-Hop world as NinaRaw. For ten years consistent, she rocked with force, and played a vital part on the side of Systematic Muzick Inc. ('The OESC' and 'The Murc Unit'). In the mist of performing, writing, rhyming, recording, selling and shopping mixtapes...amongst the community, somewhere, NinaRaw became hailed and dubbed as the "queen". And not by way of cliché props, but strictly because those saying the title "queen" meant it when they said it, and said it when they felt it necessary.
'ESCAPE FROM A NIGHTMARE' is her first urban fiction novel. Her inspirations have been drawn from the many experiences she has endured, observed, and inhabited in the streets of St. Louis.

Stephanie Salvo began writing and singing at a young age and aspired to share her music with the world. At the age of 16 she was signed to her first independent label and began preforming out of high school opening for acts such as Vanilla Ice, Juvenile, ESG and many more.
At the age of 27, SALVO works as a hairstylist/makeup artist during the day and stays on her music grind during her time off . "I've been in the game for a while and I still have stars in my eyes... I WILL share what I see with the world." Stephanie Salvo proves to be a quadruple threat with her soulful vocals, intellectually stimulating rhymes and raw production.
"Music is my soul and I will continue to make music until the day I die"
As a producer SALVO has been wrekin beats for about 3 years and continues to work hard in perfecting her craft as a producer as well as an artist, "I am never 100% satisfied and that helps me grow daily as an artist." SALVO hopes to share and collaborate with other producers and artists alike to go above and beyond.
Over the past 10-15 years, I’ve tried to get real gay pioneers to speak at Pride events and as soon as they step up to the microphone, the crowd’s eyes go glossy and they walk away faster than turning a fire hose on them. They have no interest in learning about how things used to be and how we got from there to here. They take everything for granted and have no idea what are and aren’t their legal rights. On Facebook, I’ve seen people I know in places like Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida get fired from their jobs and they tell their friends and 500 gay men and another 500 lesbians will pipe in and yell, “They can’t do that! It’s illegal!”
Join us with Stephanie Donald, founder, publisher and editor of LGBT-Today, who will share her thoughts about the state of the LGBT civil rights movement and talk about her career as an author and activist.
