More About Sara Chetkin;
Born in Key West, Florida in 1979, Sara Chetkin was 15 when she was diagnosed with severe scoliosis and spent much of the next fifteen years traveling around the world seeking healing and spiritual insight. These travels are the basis for her first book, The Healing Curve: A Catalyst to Consciousness. She graduated from Skidmore College in 2001 with a BA in Anthropology. After graduation, she moved to Somerville, MA and worked in various cafes and restaurants while pursuing an education in herbal medicine. As well, she worked toward an advanced degree in Spiritual Studies at Delphi University in McCaysville, Georgia. In 2004, she began a master’s program at the New England School of Acupuncture and earned a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine in 2007. She is a Ro-Hun therapist and an ordained minister with the Church of Wisdom, Delphi University. It is Nelson Mandela International Day, a day of service celebrated on July 18, Mandela's birthday. Mandela, the former President of South Africa and Nobel Peace Prize recipient, died at 95 on December 5, 2013. This is the first time the day has been celebrated since his death.
The day was created to honor Mandela and inspire others to carry on his efforts to "take responsibility for making the world a better place, one small step at a time," according to a statement from the Nelson Mandela Foundation initiative.

Author Eugene Nelson will talk about his book Covert Operations Alpha, his writing journey, and the world of self publishing.
Covert Operations: Alpha is a Sci-Fi Drama, which follows several characters after a failed covert operation. Spy is one of the main characters. After his failed attempt to steal information from a genetics company, his friend is killed during the re-attempted theft. The theft and the death set off a chain of events that will involve most of the key players in Chicago, and bring dozens to their death as well as making many more wishing that they were dead.
