Albert William Vogt III was born in Winfield, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, on January 28, 1980. He lived there until the age of ten when his family moved to Florida. Despite being transplanted, he continued to root for Chicago sports team and loved returning to the land of his birth whenever possible. He also grew to love history, mostly because of his father, who would feed his head of tales of Napoleon and the Grand Armee. It was that love of history that led him to pursue a PhD in American History at Loyola University in Chicago.
While at Loyola, Albert concentrated on cultural and social history. He wrote his dissertation, titled "The Costumed Catholic: Catholics, Whiteness, and the Movies, 1928-1973," which focuses on how Catholics have been portrayed on American film throughout much of the twentieth century. It was enough to earn him his PhD, which was officially conferred in August of 2013.
After Loyola, Albert returned to Florida where he teaches at the University of South Florida - St. Petersburg in the history department, and online for St. Leo University. He also has a novel coming out through Tate Publishing titledBob the Time Traveler. He also has a history consulting firm that he runs with his business partner, Jacob K. Friefeld, called Of Historical Interest.

Since the mid-1980s, Sudan has been involved in civil war fueled by religious, ethnic, and regional strife. Thousands of children have experienced horrors and intense hardships beyond the scale of human understanding. They have been dubbed the Lost Boys of Sudan. Many, orphaned by the war, have arrived at Kakuma, a refugee camp in Kenya.
The label of the Lost Boys was borrowed from the children's story Peter Pan. The Lost Boys of Sudan describe a generation of Sudanese boys driven from their tribal lands by the devastation of the civil war between the North and the South. The Original Lost Boy of Sudan told by King Deng Akon, details the truth regarding the war in southern Sudan, the scorching desert, heat, and the historical events that led to the bloodshed.
The true experiences of "the Lost Boys of Sudan" has been overlooked or simply mentioned by the media. However, King Deng Akon provides an opportunity to witness a perilous quest for freedom from a first-person perspective.

Kristin studied communications as an undergraduate at the University of California at Los Angeles (B.A., 1988). She did her graduate work at University of California at Berkeley (Ph.D., 1997), studying moral development with Dr. Elliot Turiel.
Her current position at the University of Texas at Austin started in 1999, and she was promoted to Associate Professor in 2006. During Kristin’s last year of graduate school in 1997 she became interested in Buddhism, and has been practicing meditation in the Insight Meditation tradition ever since. While doing her post-doctoral work she decided to conduct research on self-compassion – a central construct in Buddhist psychology and one that had not yet been examined empirically.
In addition to her pioneering research into self-compassion, she has developed an 8-week program to teach self-compassion skills. The program, co-created with her colleague Chris Germer at Harvard University, is called Mindful Self-Compassion. Her book titled "Self-Compassion" was published by William Morrow in April, 2011. Kristin was recently featured in the best-selling book & award-winning documentary called The Horse Boy – www.horseboymovie.com - which chronicles her family’s adventure with autism. www.self-compassion.org www.CenterforMSC.org

Sherri Rabinowitz has been writing since she was a small child. She has worked as an actress, travel agent and in customer service. Her passion is writing. She enjoys reading and writing fan fiction. Her book Fantasy Time Inc. was nominated for a Global Ebook Award! Sherri was nominated for the Shorty Award! Sherri is the host of Blogtalk Radio's Chatting With Sherri. Sherri is the producer of Sherri's Playhouse.
Sherri has a new children's book titled, "Different is Beautiful", inspired by something that destroys her heart every time she hears of a child’s death from bullying. Sherri was bullied as a child. Today it is a horrid situation and it also seems to destroy younger and younger kids. For a long time I wanted to do something so I wrote this book.
There is a song in the musical South Pacific that inspired my Children’s book; You’ve Got To Be Carefully Taught You’ve got to be taught To hate and fear, You’ve got to be taught From year to year, It’s got to be drummed In your dear little ear. It inspired me to write a book to teach children about the way of love. To teach them the opposite of that song. To teach them acceptance and understanding. My book is beautiful, sweet and colorful but it also teaches them that everyone is beautiful. Everyone no matter, what they look like, how they act, who they worship and who they love. Part of the money from the sale of this book will go to an Anti Bullying group; Love is the way.
Sherri's Playhouse will cover all kinds of plays, I would like the playwright to narrate the show and I will direct and produce it. It is an exciting idea and a recreation of a great but lost art.
