Ventenner is a UK band who is revenging the connection between Hard Rock and the darker Alternative. The dark altrock/industrial references on the upcoming release ‘Distorture’ points dart from Nine Inch Nailsto Gary Numan, Depece Mode, Atari Teenage Riot with hints of early Marilyn Manson and Smashing Pumpkins also there. Following on from 2012s electronic ‘This Is the Reason’, ‘Distorture’ is a far more titanic beast; the experimenting with synthesizers is still there but the added full band treatment gives it something rawer, something a little more dangerous.
Starlog #140731 -- News from San Diego Comic-Con: Firefly, Assassin's Creed: Unity, X-Men, The Walking Dead, Lego Batman 3, and more! Plus, an update on the girl who was found unconscious and injured during SDCC, along with the Convention Weather Watch.
News, talk, opinion, discussion, and more! It's our first talk show -- with topics ranging from sci-fi to sci-tech, the latest headlines, the latest gossip, trends on social media, and more!

Some generations were more social. They did not have all of the gadgets that are out now. My generation had the land line phone Atari, record, concerts, bikes, get togethers and the malls were available for us to hang out. We walked, talked, hung out, went out to eat and still talked with our parents. Now kids are fat use facetime and can not hold or start a conversation. What are your thoughts?
Oohhh... Do you remember? Billie Jean, Control, Fight the Power, Cool It Now and Roxann, Roxann!!!!
Oh My God! Michael Jackson. Janet Jackson. Public Enemy. New Edition. UTFO.
Yes! I remember.
Well what about FUBU clothes, family bar-be-cues, and "Battlin" "Breakin" & "Rappin" in the street? Taping "For Lovers' Only" on a cassette tape? Racing home to see "He-Man" or "Thundercats" cartoons? Frying up french fries with the old grease sitting on the stove in the Crisco can? Drinking sugar water cuz you didn't have any Kool-Aid? And having to be home before the street lights came up?
Dang, Mama. Its summer time! Oh, so I was the only one begging? REALLY?
This was a time when only doctors had pagers and only lawyers and business men needed phones. When there was no such thing as a home computer. Television only had five channels and went off at 2am. When the only cable company was "Preview" after 8pm. Oh no, no Netflix and Hula Plus? And we were told, "Children should be seen; not heard"
