If you had a terminal illness would you commit Doctor assisted suicide?(reference Brittany Maynard)
Recently, 29 year old Brittany Maynard, who went on social media discussing her plans to end her own life because of her terminal illness, reopened the discussion of assisted suicide. Several years ago, some evangelical clergy and politicians fought to keep Terri Schiavo alive on life support for over a decade. Many churches have clear stances on issues regarding life, but there is still some unclarity on where the church stands regarding assisted death. Does the Bible address the issue of assisted death? How should churches approach dying with dignity without creating more fear and distress for individuals and families of those struggling with terminal illness and the desire to die? Join Pastor Neal for this empowering and enlightening topic.

On tonight's show:
Some thoughts on my appearance today on the Marc Steiner show. There was a lot of discussion that you did not hear on air about how state Democrats are adjusting to the incoming Hogan administration.
Post-elections campaign filings show some interesting facts about some races and members of new administrations.
Governor O'Malley led an effort to repeal the state's death penalty but leaves offices with convicted murders on death row. Will O'Malley commute their sentences as he walks out the door or leave the issue to Governor Hogan?
The assisted suicide movement has made another local foray with this article. We'll discuss.
And #GetOffMyLawn returns with this article about animal rights attorneys seeking a writ of habeas corpus for an orangutan.

Attorney Allison Folmar has been an Attorney for 15 years in the State of Michigan. From 1988-1994 Allison was a Corrections Officer for the State of Michigan Department of Corrections and then went on to become a Probations Officer. Allison assisted in restructuring the Federal mandated Interstate Contact Agreement whereby people on probation and parole are handled so as not to fall through the cracks.
On the day Maryanne Godboldo’s story broke. Attorney Allison Folmar was in her car listening the radio. She heard about the police stand off and her first thought was: “This woman is protecting her child from being drugged and they’re gonna take her baby? “Oh, no they’re not!”
The next day Allison took on the case pro bono. And so began her 10 month battle on behalf of Maryanne Godboldo and her daughter.
She fought and won two legal battles on the fundamental premise that charging a parent with medical neglect for refusing to give their child a deadly drug is not only a complete oxymoron but a violation of the law.
Due to Folmar’s work in exposing the illegal seizure of Maryanne Godboldo’s daughter prompted by Child Protective Services, Michigan Child Protective Services changed its rules and will no longer investigate parents for “complaints that allege parents are failing or refusing to provide their children with psychotropic medications.
