Interview w/Rising Indie Artist T9 Da Prince Hosted By Qween$Ching

    in Hip Hop Music

T9 da prince who is now 24 years old grew up in the small town of Salisbury Maryland. T9 grew up in a not too bad, but not perfect neighborhood. In a small town it seems as though there wasn't much to get into that was all that positive. Although, it wasn't the projects and having both parents was a plus. With a talent T9 still managed to be expelled by the age of 15 for recording songs on cassettes. T9 eventually got a laptop & recording program that sounded like it was recorded inside of a Pepsi can but still gave out mixtapes. A few months later his hobby took a huge turn when he met young Shinah who would later become his coach. Young Shinah was already doing shows and had the local scene on smash. "Infact, I use to listen to em on the way to school was pretty much a fan." That was when the worlds collided little by little. Although T9 was no stranger to the hood it was then that it actually became a day to day thing being around the drugs, guns, money and crime. It was an adrenaline rush for T9. Growing up mixed nationalities T9 felt like he had to "over do it" to out do the next man. Overall, it is T9's main goal to make people feel comfortable about being themselves. Although, T9 hasn't lived as bad as alot of his family/friends he has experienced and been involved in many lifestyles, at one point he even attempted college. Now, doing what he "should have done years ago" he's working a job while getting his own business off the ground!

An Artist Speaks with Guest Artist Robin Botie

    in Art

Join host Michael Harris with guest artist Robin Botie as they discuss her inspiration and technique for her unique Photo shop images. Robin Botie’s life as she knew was catapulted out the window when cancer killed her daughter. Desperate to keep visible memories of her, and needing to reinvent herself, she discovered photography and writing as ways to heal. Robin believes anything’s possible – even finding joy after loss.  She creates pictures and writes about growing in the midst of grief and ever since Robin dove into Photoshop, she’s been losing herself and finding herself in her work.  “My pictures are mostly of living things and landscapes. They are all about regaining life and redefining it. Photoshop offers intriguing “Tools” to work with for those whose lives are in turmoil or struck by loss. There is a Patch Tool and a Path Selection Tool, a Dodge Tool and an Add-Anchor Tool, a Magic Eraser, a Magic Wand, a Clone Stamp, … and a Healing Brush. The possibilities for change and control are endless.  I always believed I could design my way into or out of anything; for me, to design is to fix, to redefine, and make beautiful.”

January Jones - Caregivers, Eldercare Consultant Becky Feola,

    in Family

January Jones - Caregivers, Eldercare Consultant  Becky Feola,

Becky will share the story of her late husband who had Huntington’s Disease (a degenerative brain disease) and how she cared for him for 11 years until his death at the young age of 49.  This journey as a caregiver led her to start 2 eldercare businesses (one a non-profit and the other for profit) along with writing The Eldercare Consultant.  With over ten years of experience and working with over 1,000 families, Becky has seen so many mistakes and successes families make and have when caring for an aging loved one.

One of the reasons Becky has been so successful and loved by her clients is that she has walked in her shoes.  She is a safe person for them to talk to and confess what they consider to be their dark secrets filled with guilt, fear and anger — only to discover they aren’t alone with these secrets and that Becky has also carried the same weight.

Her work has given guidance and hope to so many who have a long journey ahead of them.
