I’ve been involved with music and entertainment on a professional level since 1969 when I made my first Single in Paris at Pathé Marconi. I stayed in France for about two years after the recording where I worked writing what they called Ghost Songs. During this time I worked with several record companies and various writers. The early 70’s I returned to the UK and started to get into Bands and also played in a duo doing the Folk circuit. During this time I met a lot of musicians that would later go on to do great things, for example Al Stewart, John Martyn, Jasper Carrot and many more. I studied music in London and was lucky to get into a place where they did composition for a course. It was four years well spent and was a very valuable formation. It showed me how to arrange and also taught me the limitations and problems all musicians have. Around 75 I joined my first Pro Band when I was invited to join a hippy group called Starry Eyed and Laughing. Although I wasn’t very happy in this outfit I did my first real touring and very first BBC radio sessions and got into the studio more than ever. After a couple of years the group broke up and frustrated I went to Canada. This was 77 and I went to Canada because they wouldn’t let me into the USA. I formed a punk Band called Arthurs Dilemma and over the next 7 months we totally ruled Montreal. During this time I met a sponsor who took me to New York where I did the same thing but with fresh musicians. We had a lot of success. My premier was packed full of beautiful people. For example John and Yoko were there along with Andy Warhol and we are going to hear the rest of the story LIVE from ARTHUR today and hear some of hgis wonderful music. Do join us!

What is a Memory Café?
A Memory Café is a place where individuals with memory loss and their caregivers get together in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. People can connect and interact with peers in similar life situations. There is no embarrassment and no explanations are needed.
Where did the Memory Café Start?
The concept came from the United Kingdom. The UK government coordinates and sets up Memory Cafés, which are in high demand. After talking with David Light who wrote the guidelines for the Cafés, Lori La Bey of Alzheimer’s Speaks here in the United States asked David if he would be willing to share program details with her.
ACR Healthcare Group, The Alzheimer’s Research Center, The Minnesota Memory Project, The Center for Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care of Health Partners, joined Alzheimer's Speaks to launch the first “Memory Café” here in the US!

Host Robin Milling celebrates singer/songwriter Christopher Cross' 60th birthday and the release of his first CD in 12 years, Doctor Faith. It's been 30 years since the original Arthur with Dudley Moore opening in theaters. Cross, who penned the beloved Arthur's Theme weighs in on the remake.
"Dudley is Arthur and that's it. Russell Brand is a talented guy but Dudley created the character and he's gone so leave well enough alone. Steven Gordon who wrote and directed that picture died six weeks after Arthur came out which is why Arthur 2 was not very good. I haven't seen it and I'm not really interested in seeing it because I'm from the era that connects to Dudley. They asked us if they could use the song (Arthur's Theme) which we didn't let them do. They did re-record it with somebody else. I just have a lot of reverence for Dudley and miss him greatly and he's the one that brought that character to life. But it does bring it to a new generation so that was good."
The show that's uniting a bunch of newly reacquainted cousins, some in the Caribbean, some in the States. It's the saga of their quest to create a long overdue family reunion against long odds. Will the dates work out? Will they start early enough to avert last-minute disaster? Lost deposits? Or, could this be THE success story of the 21st Century, an event that is stellar, exemplary and destined to change the course of history--on Earth, and into Eternity?!!!!! Okay, you're right; I gotta cut back on the caffeine and calm down. It's just that our last little digital get-together was such great fun that I can't not be excited thinking about the next one. Be there!
