Viki Winterton interviews Mark Langford!
In 2004, in full health and at the pinnacle of his life and career, Mark contracted a very serious, penicillin resistant infection from a routine arthroscopy. After a dozen surgeries and forty-one days of lying immobilized in a hospital bed, Mark experienced a life-changing encounter with what he can only describe as the “spirit world.”
He communed with a spiritual presence that revealed to him that his life purpose is to help and heal others.
Following his spiritual awakening, Mark began to notice a widespread despair affecting many of his colleagues and working friends. He observed that many feared for their jobs, were afraid to say “no” at work, and even neglected to take paid vacation.
He deduced that this fearful behavior is a leading cause of reduced employee creativity, motivation and morale, which in turn results in lower productivity and profitability for their employers.
Drawing from his organizational competence, Mark combined practical spirituality, innovative business practices and personal passions to craft a fresh approach to realizing a constructive work/life balance, beneficial to both individuals and their employers.
Seeing the power of this creation, he vowed to initiate and facilitate a movement to transform conventional companies into extraordinary Conscious Corporations through the development of a passionate, happy workforce and attuning to the natural laws of the universe.
His new book, I Took All My Vacation Days & Still Earned a Promotion! offers a blueprint for individuals to achieve ideal work/life balance while actually increasing their productivity and satisfaction at work.

When non-operative treatments fail, Dr. Martin discusses all available elective surgical options. He has extensive experience in less invasive hip and knee replacement (total and partial), arthroscopy, osteotomies, cartilage replacement and joint preserving surgery. He has special expertise in complex revision/failed total hip and knee surgery. His current focus and research interest is in “fast-recovery” hip and knee replacement..
