Daily Norseman contributor and Editor-in-Chief Arif Hasan discusses how he's encountered racism as a sportswriter, the questionable response from him and others and how it's affected his writing. Beyond that, Norse Code discusses rookie camp and answers your mailbag questions (rookie camp discussion starts at 41:10).
Dusty and Arif attempted to record a podcast on Wednesday only to have it premier on Saturday morning. Nevertheless, Dusty and Arif go over training camp and moralize about things you don't need to have moralized.

Damon Mason, better recognized as Kwame is a producer/writer/director and has been working in the Canadian entertainment industry since 1996. He started out as the host of an entertainment magazine style show called PHAT TV that aired on CFMT (what's this?) channel 4. In 1999 Kwame was offered the opportunity to work for a newly started ROGERS MEDIA radio station in Toronto called KISS 92.5, and in 2001 Toronto’s first URBAN radio station FLOW 935 was set to launch, Kwame took this opportunity and became a weekend announcer and eventually went on to work for the morning show and became the Saturday night live-to-air announcer. Opportunity again knocked on his door when ROGERS MEDIA started up a new station in Calgary Alberta called KISS 969. Kwame traveled to a new market to further brand himself across Canada. In the stations first BBM report Kwame was the number one announcer in the stations demo of 18 to 34 male and female. A year later Kwame was asked to help launch a new TOP 40 radio station in Kitchener Ontario. With his experience launching stations, CHUM radio called on him again to help launch 917 in Edmonton where in the first year he co-hosted the funny and entertaining radio show SUMMER LOVING with ex NHL tuff guy GEORGES LARAQUE. Kwame is now the executive producer and director of a documentary called Soul On Ice about the birthplace of the Colored Hockey League and its upstanding role models, and organizational talent never seen in Black sport.

Welcome to Battle of the Fans. This is how the show works - each week, teams from a specific division will be represented by a fan.
There are 4 "quarters", where fans need to convince the moderator that their team is the best and has the best chance to make a Super Bowl run this upcoming season.
1st quarter - QB
2nd quarter - Offense
3rd quarter - Defense
4th quarter - Overall Team (can include info on special teams, coaching staff, front office, etc)
The moderator will determine how many points each fan receives for each quarter.
1st - 7 pts
2nd - 4 pts
3rd - 3 pts
4th - 2 pts
At the end of the night, the winner will be invited back to the show on July 27 for the fan playoffs. The fan Super Bowl will be held on August 3.
THIS WEEK - NFC North
Moderator - Claire Mullins (@theclairebear23)
Packers - Mike (@DirkRugged)
