For all the Saints, who from their labors rest.
Today, we celebrate the reason there is a Halloween. It is the day we honor Christian martyrs far and wide, now and long ago. We honor the heroes of faith and virtue, not because they got it right, but because they got it wrong the right way. We honor all of those in heaven who pray for us with all of their might and, without whose constant prayers, we would be in much worse shape than we are now.
In tonight's service, Bishop Rake discusses first the reason we venerate the Saints and why to do so does not detract from the work of Jesus. In fact, it helps our relationship with God in many ways.
Also, we will hear the amazing Sermon on the Mount, one of the most radical theological statements of its kind. In it, Jesus lays out principals that are required for peace. But we don't have peace because the world is strangled with spiritual arrogance. In this very timely sermon and apologetic, award-winning preacher, theologian, and lecturer, the Rev. Bishop Kristina Rake, will talk about the attitude of spiritual self-righteousness, whether found in conservative Christians or atheists. Bishop talks about why it is that intellectual and spiritual arrogance has taken hold of the world, where it comes from, and how to answer it, in yourself and others. You will NOT want to miss this episode as it is vital in today’s day and age to deal with the polarization of ALL discourse.
Come, for now is the time for worship!
This is going to take more than one show. I've found a wonderful apologetic site that has 100 questions for atheists. I'm going to answer them all!!
Since this is a website, I'd usually respond in written form. But I haven't bloged in some time and I like the format of radio better. So I'm just going to read the questions and give my answers.
Mind you, some of the questions are really dumb.
Put your helmet on for head desk protection and strap in!
Plus your calls.
May the awesome be with you.

Bobbi’s daughter Kaity met a man and fell in love. He seemed polite, respectful and caring towards Kaity. Over the months she grew to care deeply for this young man and experienced her first love beyond the family. About six months into the relationship this young man began to change. He suddenly became rude and inconsiderate at times, but apologetic when Kaity would stand her ground. This young man exhibited possessive and jealous behavior. If Kaity was away from him he constantly called or would text her on her phone. At times he made accusations that she was lying to him or cheating on him with another. If she went away to visit family he was crazed out of his mind about where she was and who she was with. Kaity patiently tried to understand his insecurities and shortcomings and forgave him. Nonetheless, his behavior escalated. After several months of enduring this behavior, with the support of her family and friends, Kaity came to realize she was not able to help him understand her devotion to him and ended the relationship. He began stealing from her, assaulting her and threatening her. On January 28, 2008, five days after filing the Injunction Against Harassment (IAH), as Kaity was walking on her way home from school this young man grabbed her from in front of her house and pulled her to the side yard of the house next door. He then killed her with a shot gun he had hidden in a duffle bag, and turned the gun on himself and committed suicide.
Former Navy Chaplain, Gordon James Klingenschmitt, joins Rick to discuss the death threats he received from followers of ultra-liberal watchdog site, Right Wing Watch, over his comments critical of Texas’ pro-abortion state representative, Wendy Davis. In the second half of the program, apologetic author and speaker, Alex McFarland, talks about the roots of atheism and his newly released book, “The 21 Toughest Questions Your Kids Will Ask about Christianity: & How to Answer Them Confidently.”

Miguel Hayworth is the founder/director of the First Plumbline Apologetics which was established in 2001. Experiences within different denominations showed that much of what was going on in the churches was not oriented around the Bible. With this conviction Miguel Hayworth, and having seen so many people damaged by the unorthodox teachings of Christian groups, originally began his work with the intent of exposing false teachers within mainstream Christian circles.
First Plumbline Apologetics is an independent project, however, FPA has contacts other Christians who represent evangelical groups within the UK as well as globally. First Plumbline Apologetics is not associated with any of the charismatic movement and operates independently from any other group. It has as its only main focus building a library of media and documented information.
