On this episode of MMA on MnA Sports Radio, hosts Jason Kelly and Joe Rizzo welcome MMA veteran Chris Horodecki and MFC bantamweight champion Anthony Birchak.
Horodecki meets Brazilian standout Marlon Sandro at Bellator 119 on May 9 at Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario. The former IFL star will undoubtedly strike up some good conversation with Rizzo about the now closed promotion, as the two were heavily involved in the organization.
Birchak was scheduled to defend his MFC crown at this month's MFC 40, unfortunately the champ has sustained an injury that has prevented him from competing. However, Birchak's injury sparked him to create a nifty new method for injured fighters to pay for hospital bills, and we'll hear all about it.
Tonight on Alchemist Radio Bryan Levick welcomes three young and exciting fighters along with the sport’s most powerful woman.
Anthony Birchak was the reigning MFC bantamweight champion, but is now preparing to make his UFC debut at UFC 177 this Saturday night against Joe Soto on the preliminary card. You can watch Birchak, who is one of the most exciting fighters in the sport on Fox Sports One.

MMA DieHards Radio’s hosts Jason Kelly (Twitter: @JayMMADieHards) and Corey Charron (Twitter: @charronkotd) welcome in MFC bantamweight Anthony Birchak this evening.
Birchak (Twitter: @abirchakMMA) won the first-ever MFC bantamweight match at MFC 37 when he defeated Ryan Benoit. The match was fight of the caliber, so we’ll get Birchak’s thoughts on the bout and see what’s next for the Arizonian.
Kelly and Charron will also recap UFC on FX 8, as well as dissect UFC 160, which takes place Saturday.
Tonight on Alchemist Radio Bryan Levick and Adam Conklin will discuss last night’s TUF Nations Finale which saw Tim Kennedy defeat Michael Bisping via unanimous decision. They will also discuss the debut of TUF 19: Edgar vs. Penn which features 8 middleweights and 8 light heavyweights. They will also preview this weekend's UFC on Fox 11 card.
Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson will kick things off and explain why he decided to move Titan FC 28 from April 25th in Kansas City to May 16th in Newkirk, OK. We will also go over some of the changes made to the card and how Titan FC’s international fans will now be able to view the preliminary bouts on-line.
Kalib Starnes has been so desperate find and keep fights over the past couple of years that he has competed at middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight. He will face Dave Herman in the co-main event of Titan FC 28 in a heavyweight showdown. Herman was last seen losing his fourth straight and being cut from the UFC roster while Starnes is riding a four fight winning streak.
At MFC 38, Anthony Birchak was experiencing a resounding range of emotions. He was chosen to face Tito Jones for the opportunity to become the first ever MFC bantamweight champion, the fans selected their fight to be the main event, he witnessed the birth of his son and he buried one of his best friends. Now he heads into MFC 40 with a clear mind and will face Kevin Croom in his first title defense. Once again MFC is leaving it up to the fans to decide the main event as Birchak’s fight is up against two other title fights for the right to close the show.
The show will start promptly at 7pm EST/4pm PST

At 7 p.m. ET tonight, MMA Cypher Radio on the MMA DieHards Radio Network brings you a special Canadian Thanksgiving show. Hosts Jason Kelly (Twitter: @JayMMADieHards) and Corey Charron (Twitter: @charronkotd) welcome a pair of the Maximum Fighting Championship's finest.
MFC bantamweight champion Anthony Birchak (Twitter: @abirchakmma) will join us to talk about becoming the first-ever 135-pound title holder in the promotion's history. Birchak defeated Tito Jones via rear-naked choke at MFC 38 on Oct. 4 to secure the belt.
Scott Zerr (Twitter: @scottmaxfight), who heads up MFC public relations, will also grant us some of his time to explain what his role in the organization entails.
Our first guest might have one of the wildest stories on how he got to this point in his career. Jason “The Mover” South wasn’t a high school football player, he didn’t wrestle, he was just a normal guy. It wasn’t until he was 30 that he first stepped onto the mat and that was because his mother in-law bought him a one month pass. Jason weighed 215 lbs and his first class was getting owned by another 135 lb student, let’s just say that was it he was hooked. Our next guest not only walked away with the first ever win in the MFC Bantamweight division in his last fight, but with his upcoming fight he won the fan vote to headline MFC 38 and a chance to become the first ever MFC Bantamweight Champ. Anthony Birchak is back on the show and if you remember we had him on before his last fight. We will talk with Anthony about not only fighting and winning the first ever Bantamweight match up in MFC history and now getting a shot as the first Bantamweight Champ in the promotions history. It wouldn’t be right to do a Maximum Fighting Championship show without having the man behind the show on. Mark Pavelich kicks off the second hour and you know you are in store for a treat anytime the Godfather of Canadian MMA is in the Barber Shop. MFC is putting it all on the line at MFC 38 with 3 title fights happening on October 4th, 2013. We will talk to Mark about the card and have him give us his thoughts on the 3 title fights and having 3 title fights all happen on the same night.
