  I love the scriptures!!!
  Moses father in law joins him in the wilderness and gives council to the prophet. I have heard people complain that a prophet should need to seek council or advise about this or that as if that makes them not a prophet. This is a clear example that this is not the case. The prophet is called to his position but he still must use all the resources at his hand to do the work he was called to do. I believe that it is the same for you and I.
  Likewise God may grant to man the ability to do mighty works but if the people are locked into a false security of this world or a false interpretation of what reality truly is his ability to assist mankind will be very limited as was the case of Christ when he went among the people that had known him as he was growing up.
