Follow the yellow brick road to the The Wizard of Oz 75th Anniversary Celebration! Listen to Lorna Luft, Judy Garland’s daughter, talk about this great film classic. Also joining in the fun are: Barry Monush, editor/author of the Screen World anthology series; film historian James Colt Harrison; and Diana Saenger from Classic Movie Guide. On September 20th, select movie theaters will be showing the 1939 cinematic gem for one week. Almost everyone already knows the story by heart, but the spectacle of Dorothy’s fantastic adventure never ceases to dazzle viewers no matter how many times they see it. And this time, “dazzle” is the key word, because the movie has been re-mastered for IMAX 3-D presentations.
During this show we celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of Bringing Inspiration To Earth, here on BlogTalkRadio.
We will have a retrospective look at this past year; the guests, followers and friendships created. Of special interest is our programming which expanded to include the wildly popular Children's Corner and the socially conscious Environmental Awareness shows. Those topics are in addition to our Spiritual and Self-Help based programming ~ all with the focus of bringing you Inspirational guests whose goal is to motivate you and help you live a happier, healthier and Inspired life.
Our discussion will highlight our most popular shows and guests which included; pre-teen animal activists, a 79-yr old Stanford physicist who worked with NASA and the CIA, lawyers, motivational speakers, musicians and the more than 65 authors whose books have entertained, enlightened and helped listeners overcome obstacles.
It is an open mic format and we welcome callers to phone in and talk about their experience with our programming and to discuss their favorite topic or guest.
Also, former guests are welcome to call in and we can talk about their appearance and what has happened since their appearance on the show.
We will be playing audio messages provided by former guests and show followers. To leave an audio message call 512.827.0505 extension 7011#

This week, Roundtable with Stephanie Robinson honors the 50 anniversary of the March on Washington. This day conjures nostalgic images of unity, triumph, and hope against a backdrop of violence and national tragedy. Today, as we pause to celebrate the distance we have traveled, we honor those who marched so we could live in a better nation. But we also take this time to reflect on the road ahead. Our guests will assess the state of contemporary race relations while considering a number of timely questions: How is growing up in America today different than 50 years ago? Do we truly live in a "post-racial society" or is such a construct irresponsible given the evolving and more subtle racial realities they obscure? And, most importantly, what collective steps remain for us to turn Dr. King’s rhetorical dream into a reality? It is time to gather at the Roundtable as Stephanie Robinson delivers hot topics, deep talk and a little bit of uplift. Roundtable with Stephanie Robinson...pull up a chair.
Can you believe 4 years ago today PodCastle (we have had a few name changes; we renamed to PodCastle in 2012) became a part of Blogtalk? And then once Tamala Jone's last appearance hit over 10,000 archived listens we were given "featured" status? I sure never thought we would make so many milestones nor would we have so many cast and crew on ~ sometimes more than once!
As of this time, we have over 100,000 total listens of which about 1300 are ours, the rest are all of you. :)
It is our hope that we will have some very special guests on this anniversary show, but at this time we cannot promise anything. We will update this if that changes.
♥Many of you may NOT know that I am a HUGE X-File fan, was compeletely emerged in the show and bummed when it was cancelled. ♥Tonight I have a very special guest- probably the best villain in Science Fiction history--- William B. We'll find out his take on the show that changed SciFi forever! ♥Then stick around for our 2nd hour as we pay tribute and chat about our favorite XFiles moments, the movies, comic book and comic con w/my good friend & fellow XPhiler Barbara Barnett.
