I am a mother, daughter, artist, an entrepreneur and most recently, an author. I love history and art and that's a very important part of my work. I am an honors graduate of Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia and a former art teacher.
I am the owner of Past Images By Anita, a unique business I formed in 1999 to use my background as a classically trained artist and my passion for art to help to preserve precious family heirlooms and treasures. My company, Past Images By Anita, provides photo and painting restoration, and doll repair and restoration, to clients around the world. I have also lectured to various historical societies, doll clubs, genealogy conferences and retirement clubs about preservation of their photos and antiques. It pleases me that I am able to help people save their treasured possessions to enjoy now and pass onto future generations
I currently live in the Philadelphia suburbs on a property that dates to the early 1800’s with my son and his wife in a haunted house complete with at least 5 spirits at the present. I’ve been keeping a detailed notebook on all of the frequent paranormal occurrences happening at my house for the last 4 years and am writing a sequel to my first book, Estate of Horror. The continued ghostly occurrences are very frightening. There have been frequent visits from a local paranormal group as they want to document these extraordinary spirited events at her unconventional house. It is their belief that her stories of her ghostly encounters could go down in the annuals of paranormal history as one of the greatest ghost stories of all time.

On Getting Social with Miriam, Jo-Anne Eadie a hypnotist will be interviewed. We will be discussing the upcoming Canadian Hypnosis Conference.
Jo-Anne Eadie and her partner Heather Masters work together with clients in their business Power of Freedom using Energy Psychology, Hypnosis, Essential Oils and Common Sense. We have known each other for decades, and recently combined our unique talents to ensure clients achieve a high level of results.
WOWFactor Media with Jo-Anne and Heather began this spring, and they've been having a blast interviewing interesting, exciting and relevant people and topics all in promotion of their conference, the Canadian Hypnosis Conference.
The CHC began last year when they realized most of their training had come outside of Canada, travelling to conventions, workshops and trainings to get the advanced techniques needed to enhance their practice. The Conference was small but mighty last year and everyone had a great time. We are excited this year to have a high vibrational level of speakers and topics, not only for Hypnotists, but open to everyone with interest in the alternative ways of wellness.
On Thursday, August 7th, 2014 the Hermetic Hour, with host Poke Runyon, will present a report on the August 2nd Feraferian Lugnasad (Lammas) ceremony that Soror Zandria and Frater Thabion attended as guests of Lady Jo Carson, Avatrix of Feraferia, and her husband John presented at their woodland-surrounded home north of San Francisco, California. The Lugnasad ceremony is described in Fred Adams' "Nine Royal Passions of the Year" as: "The Festival of Fruiting and Beginning of Harvest. The meanderings of the Honeymoon as fruits in scented groves ripen, the breasts of the Goddess swell." Our special guest will be Lady Jo herself who will give us a more profound and intimate description of the event in its idyllic forest setting. Feraferia is the oldest, most elegant and sublime expression of American Neo-Pagan, Goddess centered nature religion. If you are new to this tradition, or if you are already attuned to its enchantment, be sure to join us.
Jo Dodds is Social Media and HR Consultant with Engage for Success and which includes co-hosting with Jo Moffatt their radio show Engage for Success. Disclaimer: I was guest on their show. We had an excellent conversation about our shared passion: engaged employees.
Engage4Success, I’m quoting their site, is a voluntary movement committed to the belief that employee engagement is a better way to work. Over 1000 individuals from hundreds of organisations have contributed over £1million in time, expertise and resources, helping to bring the aims of our movement to life.
While their efforts are focused on the UK, with social media and their devotion we can share and learn and maybe give back a bit. That’s what I hope to be doing here, sharing their expertise with this audience.
Their site is chock-full of well-written, well-researched, articles and papers and profiles of their initiatives and case-studies on companies and their successes, or not, with raising employee engagement. We’ll talk with Jo about how she curates all this goodness and then shares it in a way that reflects their movement principles. And we’ll talk with her about some of the best initiatives from Engage for Success, what’s different, better or worse, with the two markets, UK and US, with regards to employee engagement and what trends she sees developing now.
