Angeline’s stories have been published in the Today papers, The New Paper, and Chicken Soup for the Singapore Soul. Her book, How the Moken Sea Gypsies got their Book, a biography of a Burmese anthropologist was published in 2006. Angeline was the first Asian invited to give the keynote address at the premier annual International Festival of Digital Storytelling (DS) 2011 organised by the Arts Centre, Aberystwyth University and supported by the Arts Council of Wales, National Assembly of Wales and the BBC. “Telling the Singapore Story,” an article she wrote for the Today papers (10 August 2011) in response to Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s speech at the launch of HeritageFest 2011 was quoted by the Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in his National Day Rally speech on 14 August 2011 emphasising the need to capture stories. Joining CWT4R co –host Michelle and Terry Boi will be Tracy Baim, Editor of Windy City Times and partner with the newly formed Pride Action Tank, AIDS Foundation of Chicago. Tracy has been pushing Youth Homeless Awareness for over 5 years and now she is working tirelessly with community leaders and organizations to address this issue that is leading the devastation of youth and especially LGBTQ youth. Tracy will give facts about homeless youth, the plight they face, the programs and resources that are available to them. Lastly how we as a country, community, and individual can attack this issue.
Also joining us will be Angeline White (Kasey) who as a teen came out to her mother and was put out of her home. Kasey’s struggles to make it was documented in 2010 as part of a documentary entitled “The Homestretch” a co- production of Kartemquin Films and Spargel Productions. The documentary examines the struggles of three youth face in obtaining a high school level education, and then follows them beyond graduation to focus on the crucial transition when the structure of school vanishes and homeless youth struggle to find the support and community they need to survive and be independent. But for many the only reason for homelessness is because they identify as a LGBTQ youth.
Actor and filmmaker Steve Nijjar started as a pro soccer player but like several in the sport has taken his talent to the big screen.
After producing two movies on his own, Nijjar producerd and starred on the Fox Sports show "Soccer Dreams". His current project, "The Last King" which tells the story of a Punjab's Koh-I-Noor Diamond and the man looking to recover part of his heritage.
We talk to Nijjar about the movie and his love of soccer.

Toronto, Ontario (November 3, 2015) The Last King, a feature film from actor, producer and former professional athlete, Steve Nijjar opens in select theaters this Friday November 6. Thirteen years in the making, The Last King tells a story of passion and pain, based on true events. Nijjar's film takes place in 1853 following the death of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the last King of Punjab. The precious Koh-I-Noor Diamond, a symbol of Sikh strength and pride belonging to the Maharaja is stolen by the British. The precious stone is then brought to England where it is recut and set in Queen Victoria’s Crown as a mark of British domination in India. 150 years later The Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s descendants want to return the stone to its rightful place at the Golden Temple. The Last King tells the story of the man who will risk love and life to honor their legacy and return the diamond to it's original home ....... Punjab. TBA
