I have called it before and it seems to getting bigger and mor pervasive, th "The Theare of Distraction!" It is what is done to the American public on a daily basis. No matter what, give them something else to look at. The government takes over the internet, give them a viral dress to talk about the next day. Don't let them ask questions about wht just happened to them. President Obama is getting ready to sign a bullcrap treaty with one of the biggestnations of state-sponsored terrorism, focus on the Republican congress! Don't let them even ask about what the letter contained. High government officials thumb their noses at the law, focus their attention on Blurred Lines and stupid fraternity chants...
On tonights show we will be talking about the Racist Chant from The SAE Fraternity in Oklahoma at the University of Oklahoma. We will discuss briefly the SAE history, comments made about an artistand the history of racist chants.

Matt 4:18-20 18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20 At once they left their nets and followed him. Andy Stanley makes this observation: When Jesus called his disciples, he told them what he wanted to make them to be. He didn’t say, I want to make you to be more disciplined (although that would have been great). He didn’t say I want to make you more religious. He didn’t say, I want to make you more theologically astute so you can answer any questions about the mysteries of the universe. He said…I want to make you to be something very special and very specific. I want to make you fishers of men. Now it makes sense that he would use this metaphor. We know that at least four of his 12 disciples had been apprenticed in the fishing industry: James, John, Peter, and Andrew. Three of those four were actually in his inner circle (Peter, James, John).
It also makes sense that he would use this comparison because when he called them they were actually fishing at that moment. So he said, you have been an apprentice in the fishing business, and its great that you are good at catching fish and selling them for profit. But I am going to apprentice you in a brand new business with profit for eternity. I am going to teach you to do what I do and make you fishers of men. This is still one of the primary objectives that Jesus has for his followers. So let’s ask the question: How many of you have chosen to follow Christ?

The death penalty debate is in the news again. While the right has traditionally been pro-death penalty and the left against it, the lines are beginning to blur. Liberals have long characterized death penalty supporters as hypocritical because they are anti-abortion but pro-death penalty. Others say the death penalty is not a deterrent to crime and that many are wrongly convicted and sentenced to death. A group called Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty (CCATDP) is selling the merits of an anti-death penalty position. Marc Hyden of CCATDP will call in to discuss a number of death penalty stories in the news and explain the group's platform. Also...Harry Reid announced this week that will not seek re-election to the Senate from Nevada. We look back at Reid's record of hyper-partisanship, character assassination, and questionable ethics.
