What's it like to renovate a haunted "castle"? That's what award winning documentary THE CASTLE PROJECT is all about.
The historic Croke-Patterson Mansion in Denver has long been rumored to be haunted by the cries of disembodied infants. The original owner built the Chateauesque home in 1891 and lived there for six months before falling victim to the Silver Crash of 1893. Ill fortune visited subsequent owners during the 120-year-long history of the house as they experienced otherworldly phenomena that included apparitions, whispering voices, peculiar odors, failed exorcisms and guard dogs jumping through windows to their death.
When architect Brian Higgins and partners purchased the home for renovation, they were skeptical about its tragic past. But soon workers began to experience sightings of ghostly children, unusual temperature changes and whispering voices. Workers fell ill and one team member died while an unexplained fire threatened the project’s completion.
Paranormal investigators were brought in and they identify several generations of spirits who remained trapped in the house. Higgins had the foresight to begin filming, and after several hair-raising nights spent alone in the building, he began to wonder if there was a reason why souls never checked out at the Croke-Patterson Mansion.
Brian Higgins (Director / Producer) is an award winning architect, filmmaker and Emmy nominated television host and cinematographer. Born and raised in Denver, he rediscovered the Croke Patterson Mansion, bought it, designed the renovation and now owns the hotel. He recognized the opportunity for filming a documentary and THE CASTLE PROJECT was born.

Hailing from the "birth place of jazz",Vandell Andrew's destiny was not too hard to find. Vandell started studying music at the age of 13 at a local jazz summer camp in the treme area of New Orleans. It was then that he learned to play the trumpet. After a whole summer of playing the trumpet, Vandell was approached by one of his teachers that his embouchure would be better suited playing the saxophone.
Being that this teacher was the COOLEST sax player in the world, Vandell took this ultimatum as a compliment that his teacher would be even considering teaching him. Soon after learning to play the alto saxophone, Vandell joined the infamous St.Augustine "Marching 100" band. Playing in events and parades all over the world, convinced Vandell that this was what he wanted to do for a living after high school. Following high school, Vandell enrolled in music classes at Southern University at New Orleans, and studied with the legendary Edward "Kidd" Jordan. Shortly after about a month of studying with Kidd, the horrible hurricane Katrina took the city of New Orleans by storm. Vandell found himself relocating to Dallas,Tx. This experience was extremely hard to cope with at first , but Vandell began to like living in Dallas a little more, after checking out the music scene around town. Vandell began writing and working on his own solo compositions. This has led to him sharing stages with many local acts,at many different venues .As well as nationally known acts like Kirk Whalum, and Tom Braxton. This is only the beginning for this young entrepreneur, he is soon to record his debut album in the very near future.
We were expecting to spend a few minutes with Andrew McCarthy to discuss his new book Faithless Execution: Building the Political Case for Obama's Impeachment, but apparently he wasn't in the loop regarding the interview that was confirmed with his publicist.
Instead, we had a typically unscripted Free For All Friday talking about anything that came to our minds, including politics, technology and, most importantly, what the Bible says.

Is there really a case for Barack Obama's impeachment? Former federal prosecutor and renowned author Andrew McCarthy reveals the true depths of Obama's high crimes and misdemeanors as explained in his new book "Faithless Execution: Building the Political Case for Obama's Impeachment." Impeachment, McCarthy says, is not a legal remedy but a political one. Even faced with proof of high crimes, Congress will not act to impeach without the will of the American people. And while the public increasingly recognizes the President's lawlessness, they have largely acquiesced to it, for political expedience or because they fear another Clinton impeachment fiasco.
