Decide on an attitude of success! When I refer to attitude, I'm not simply implying "change your attitude" as if it were either good or bad. Too often, our attitude reflects the world around us and unfortunately, the world is pretty negative. Work environments are negative, homes are negative, schools at all levels are negative...we live and exist in an incredibly pessimistic, the 'sky is falling', things are going to get worse before they get better world. I'm suggesting that you and I decide we are going to take this world on each day and not anyone fuck with what we're going after in life. That we decide on an attitude that no one can penetrate. The Female Solution w/ Naimah Latif
You have been in a relationship for a while, exclusively seeing just each other. You get along well. You've met each other's families. So, now what? How do you decide when it's time to propose marriage? Some people continue for years in a "relationship" but never graduate to marriage, particularly if they come from a broken home and fear divorce. How does a couple decide when it's time? What things should be in place in order to give marriage a strong foundation? Is there a dollar amount the man should earn? What should the man expect from the woman? Who should the couple consult for advice about how to make this decision? Does it matter whether other family members are in agreement? How long is too long for a relationship to continue without a decision to marry?
You have been in a relationship for a while, exclusively seeing just each other. You get along well. You've met each other's families. So, what next? How do you decide when it's time to propose marriage? Some people continue for years in a "relationship" but never graduate to marriage. They may even cohabitate and have children together. But some couples come from broken families and fear that a marriage will not last. Some couples come from families in which there was never a marriage between the parents. How does a couple decide? What if one is ready but the other is unsure? Is that a time deadline one should consider? At what point should the subject be brought up? Should a woman ever propose to a man? Should the objective in a relationship always be to ultimately get married? How do you decide it's time to "tie the knot"

Amy Alkon's Advice Goddess Radio: "Nerd Your Way To A Better Life!" with the best brains in science.
On this show, a "Best Of" replay, cognitive psychologist Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman lays out why intelligence tests currently used are far too limiting in determining a student’s true potential.
Kaufman is a rigorous researcher whose work I know and respect, but his new book, UNGIFTED: Intelligence Redefined, offers much more than science. It offers inspiration in Kaufman’s own story as a “late listener” (due to a spate of ear infections) who was put into learning disabled classes. And then, in 9th grade, through sheer determination, pushed his way into a gifted kids’ class -- ultimately going on to Yale, getting a Ph.D., then going on to become a young professor at NYU.
On this show, we’ll discuss the limitations of current testing and a host of other things that matter in whether a child succeeds and how Scott thinks we would better assess talent, creativity, and “the many paths to greatness.”
