Join BTR’s Featured World of Ink Network show The Writing Mama at 2pm EST - 1pm CST - Noon MST - 11am PST with host Virginia S Grenier, who will be chatting with multi-published fiction and nonfiction author Amber Lea Easton. For twenty years, Easton worked in the fields of journalism and advertising with a brief detour into the financial industry. Although she holds a BA in Communications & Journalism, she is a perpetual student of life who enjoys taking courses on a wide variety of subjects when time allows. Smart is sexy, according to Easton, which is why she writes about strong female characters who have their flaws and challenges, but who ultimately persevere.
Easton currently lives with her two teenagers in the Colorado Rocky Mountains where she gives thanks daily for the gorgeous view outside her window. She finds inspiration from traveling, the people she meets, nature and life’s twists and turns. At the end of the day, as long as she's writing, she considers herself to be simply "a lucky lady liv'n the dream."

Today we're going to look at a story that has gone viral on You Tube and Facebook. Apparently lesbian actress, Lea DeLaria, doesn't like a man who is trying to share the message that "Jesus loves you" on a subway train in New York. So, instead of ignoring the preacher like pretty much everyone else does, she begins to yell at him and she also went and got in his face and used foul language and she lied about him calling her a dyke.
Why is this an important topic to discuss - because it shows us spiritual warfare in action and offers an opportunity to discuss what's really going on.
Amber Schamel's best-selling Christmas story "The Swaddling Clothes" starts the pre-sale of it's audio book NOW!
Narration by George has handled the narration duties.
Today's show will give you a glimpse into the audio book and a sample of what you will get to hear.
Here is more from Amber Schamel:
I am so excited for you to join me in the adventure of The Swaddling Clothes! Before we get started, there are a couple things I would like you to know.
This story is a work of Biblical Fiction, meaning that it is based on actual Biblical events, however I have taken the liberty of expounding on the events found in Scripture. The actual origin of The Swaddling Clothes is unknown. We do know that swaddling clothes were used in in times past with the belief that tightly swaddling an infant would help them grow straight and strong, as well as comfort the babe. Wealthy families did design special cloths for their infants, so it is possible that King David would have done so, though it is not mentioned in the Scriptural text.
It is my hope that this story will inspire you to go back and study the Biblical accounts for yourself. If you have any questions regarding the story, I’d be glad to hear from you.
Again, thank you so much for joining me in this adventure! My prayer is that it will be a great blessing to you, and bring the Bible to life in a way you've never experienced before.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas filled with love, laughter and blessings as you celebrate the true meaning of CHRIST-mas.
If you don't already know me, I would love to meet you! Here's where you can find me:
