The book relates the humorous and moving story of Alyson's journey to accepting the phychic gifts she'd had since childhood, which came into focus when she went through a bad breakup, moved across the country to Los Angeles, and began working a psychic hotline while trying to date again. The Book was a finalist for this year's Indie Excellence Book Award, and Alyson won the Hay House Book-to-Screen Pitchfest in New York, which generated a lot in interest for the book and resulted in a deal the producers of USA Networks PSYCH to develop the book for television.
