Straight Down the Middle welcomes Dean Visser,Tournament Coordinator of the Arizona Interscholastic Association Dean grew up in Iowa, graduating from Hull Western Christian High School in 1976. In high school, Dean participated in Cross Country, Basketball, Track & Field, and Golf. He attended Dordt College playing both golf and basketball from 1976 - 1980. Dean earned a B.A in Physical Education and a minor in Business. After graduating, Dean moved to Arizona, teaching and coaching at Grace Community Christian School from 1980 - 1984. He spent 17 years as a sales agent with Allstate Insurance Company, as well as coaching soccer, softball and basketball.
Dean started part-time with the AIA in the fall of 2002, becoming full-time in the summer of 2003 He has experience coordinating tournaments in badminton, boys and girls volleyball, cross country, soccer, spiritline, golf, softball and wrestling. Dean has also officiated volleyball, softball and football at the Junior High School and High School levels.
