(S5) I, Author on A Touch of Grace Presents...
Shareef Allman; the inspiring author of the empowering book "Equals." He steps into the virtual lounge to discuss his best-selling thought-provoking literary offering, and a spirit aimed at changing the world for the better.
About The Book:
What happens when a school decides to break a fifty year tradition? What happens when a school ski resort trip takes a turn for the worst? Left to die in freezing snow battling the elements, these misfit teenagers, from different ...ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, find themselves in a frightening predicament.
Can they learn to work together, or will their ignorance get the best of them? Imagine being left in the snow with a homosexual diabetic, an overweight homophobic bully, an immigrant, a racist atheist activist , a gospel child, a cheerleader, an Asian geek, an Arab, and a Jew. The students have to learn to stick together for survival, but TV, friends, family, and "life" taught them to be rivals. Could the students expresses an awakening, an understanding, and an acceptance toward others with diverse beliefs. One student makes it at the end. And that’s me the__________ student. “Why does hatred have a sequel when from the beginning we all are Equal?”

We're pretty much all brought up with the understanding that lying is bad, but in spite of all the training we've received over the years, most of us still tell at least one lie per day and some of us lie like rugs. In a study conducted by researcher Robert Feldman of the University of Massachussets, test subjects couldn't talk for ten minutes without lying. Lying is an innately human trait and it starts at a very young age. It's easy to understand why lying is bad, but is it a sin? Contrary to what we've all been taught, not all lies are sinful. Join Ken and Beth as they determine what kinds of lies are sinful and what kinds of lies are righteous. Call in to speak with the hosts at 347) 215-9971, join our online chat room, or just listen to the audio stream. This show promises to be a good one, and that's no lie! 9:30PM PDT
Today's I share my own life's journey from losing a brother to the disease of bipolar to facing what might be my greatest achievement. If you wonder how you can claim to be spiritual or Christian or to trust any force greater than yourself and take medication for bipolar disorder or any number of other conditions, you probably don't talk about. This is the place to find out we all feel the same way. It is shameful and weak to need medication, right?
Hear both sides of the story and decide for yourself. Beth Maree tackles the issues by relaying her personal struggles. Bring your comments and questions to the show Tues Noon
