Join Becca Salamone as she interviews little Preston Healy, an eight-year old boy with a passion for horses. Recently, Alabama Horse Talk had the opportunity to meet Preston at Lachlan Farm in Leeds, Alabama and talk to him (and his mother) about his experiences in learning about horses and riding. This "natural" talks about the many horses he has ridden in the six months since starting lessons. The day of the interview, Preston showed off his riding skills, hopping on a large horse bareback and riding like a pro, never losing balance and remaining "glued" to the horse's back! His favorite thing to do on horseback: canter bareback!! We were also able to talk with Preston's mom, Ruwena Healy, and the owner of Lachlan Farm, Anna Owens. Youth competitors adopt their yearling mustangs that they will compete with in-hand, while the adult competitors' mustangs will be available for adoption after the event on August 8-9, 2014 at Morgan County Celebration Arena. Special Edition as the staff preps for the upcoming draft at the Horseshoe Casino in Louisville, KY. The Staff will be at the draft in person, selecting a team and convering the draft. The Kentucky Fantasy Football State Championship, (KFFSC) is the largest live draft in the country after the Las Vegas drafts.
Ferrel Elliott joins the show to provide insight on the draft and event. Mr. Elliott runs and organizes the KFFSC and has also started new live drafts in Cincinnati this year as an extension of the KFFSC.
The web site is www.kffsc.com. The event is held August 22,23,24 at the Horseshoe Casino in Southern Indiana, just south of Louisiville New additional live drafts in Cincinatti on August 17. On line drafting runs from August 8 thru August 30.
The Championship provides draftmaster leagues, main event contest in traditional formats, auction, keeper leagues and more.
