OVERCOMING- the book read by Monique Nubia Sunshine

    in Books

Queen Afua has done it again! Her book SACRED WOMAN was very healing and gave us a journey to women's wellness, but OVERCOMING AN ANGRY VAGINA is specific and detailed in remedies for healing fibroids, vagina discharge, heavy bleeding and other problems that commonly affect woman that are in toxic relationships or have a toxic lifestyle. Vegetarian lifestyle, colon detoxing and detoxing from physically, emotionally and spiritually toxic relationships are discussed. She looks at how women are treated as indiviuals and how women are viewed on a global level that contributes to many "womb problems". Reading OVERCOMING AN ANGRY WOMB is down to earth, and reads like a conversation with a wise, gentle friend that tells you what you need to hear about being a woman in today's world. This book is not about being angry at men, but helps us to understand how poor relationships have shaped our views of ourselves and how to regain health and attract healthier relationships. A

    THE SACRED WOMB” REVIEW

    in Books

“You may feel like working through all the questions here in one long session. Or you may want to focus on one or two of the questions at a time, and go deeply into what they mean for you. There is no right way or wrong way—there is only your way.
Use the questions that follow to explore your attitudes toward your womb as part of your Sacred Womb Journal work in the privacy of your home. If you choose, you may share your experiences in your Sacred Womb Circle.”

Sister Minerva welcomes Dr.Tisa Muhammad to *All Walks of Life *

    in Culture

Family please tune in as Sister Minerva welcomes Dr.Tisa Muhammad to *All Walks of Life*, Dr. Tisa in her own words: ?I was born "Tisa Philippa Farrell" on a warm Wednesday morning in August in the unique city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, ?There,I was nurtured and raised in a very strong, loving and close community of people of all walks of life, all interested in uplifting and serving our people, and bringing in a world where all may live in peace, prosperity and unity... ? Of the many invaluable lessons I have been taught, one that I have never forgotten, and as such, pattern my life after is what I was once taught by one of my many mentors, Dr. Sheila McKenzie, that a "Physician" is defined as "a natural Philosopher who teaches their patients (clients) how to heal themselves..." ? I am a Doctor of Natural Medicine/Homeopathic Medicine with a B.S. in Orthomolecular Medicine and an A.S. in Physical Therapy.  I am Certified as a Clinical Iridologist and a Certified Holistic Healthcare Consultant. Most recently I was trained in the NADA technique in Acupuncture. ? To put it simply- I am a Womb Worker, a Womb Wellness Consultant and a Womb Warrior- working daily to heal myself in order that I might assist all women with keeping and healing their wombs, as we collectively heal our families, our communities, our world and ultimately this beautiful Wombniverse!~?  I have been honored to work with various healers including, but not limited to, Dr. Llaila O. Afrika, Dr. Leelamma Nielsen, Dr. Sheila McKenzie, Queen Afua, Dr. ChinzeRa Kahina, Tisha Mecham, Queen Maasht Am Amen, Yirser Ra Hotep, Talmie de Shimadai to name a few... ? ??Lastly, the greatest of my accomplishments thus far has been to be a mother of seven children, and the greatest of my studies has been to that of the lesson of life. ? Currently I am focusing on establishing my music, and writing books designed to bring about a greater change in the lives of others.

Live Chat:Honoring our Jamaican Dub Poets Mutabaruka, Oku Onuora & many others

    in Music

The Entertainment Celebrity Link.Dub poetry is a form of performance poetry of West Indian origin, which evolved out of dub music consisting of spoken word over reggae rhythms in Jamaica in the 1970s. Unlike dee jaying (also known as toasting), which also features the use of the spoken word, the dub poet's performance is normally prepared, rather than the extemporized chat of the dancehall dee jay. In musical setting, the dub poet usually appears on stage with a band performing music specifically written to accompany each poem, rather than simply perform over the top of dub plates, or riddims, in the dancehall fashion. Musicality is built into dub poems, yet, dub poets generally perform without backing music, delivering chanted speech with pronounced rhythmic accentuation and dramatic stylization of gesture. Sometimes dub music effects, e.g. echo, reverb, are dubbed spontaneously by a poet into live versions of a poem. Many dub poets also employ call-and-response devices to
